Minor League Baseball and Ways to Improve Revenue

Minor League baseball is much simpler form of baseball than what a lot of people watch on TV at the major league level. Minor league baseball is more of a local business due to their local popularity and finances. The recent problems with the economy have hit the Long Island Ducks very hard. I’m going to recommend three new strategies to implement this season to build business not only this season but in seasons to come. This season I would like to introduce Duck Nation. Duck Nation is a is a group that you can sign up free (unlike the Duck Club) through the Long Island Ducks website. Members will receive an email everyday of every home game telling them of special offers for that nights game. This should be an exciting offer that will get fans back in the stadium. The second strategy is the partnership of the Long Island Ducks with the Central Islap Little League. Through this partnership we will have one little league team that will come to every home game and the little league players will be on the field and announced with the Duck player of his position before the game. While the players get into the game for free the relatives of the players will pay. This partnership will be a yearly thing building great memories for players and families. The third tactic that we will install is Gary Carter day. With the recent passing of New York baseball legend and one time Duck manager, we would like to make August 8th of every season Gary Carter night. The inaugural night we would like to pay tribute to him by having his family on hand and retiring his number. We want August 8th of every season to be a celebration of baseball and the way that Gary Carter lived his life through baseball. There will also be a sponsored gift at the gate that every fan in attendance will receive. These tactics will all be set in place this season.
