Military Athletes Research Paper
MILITARY WAGES Should people who serve in the military be paid more than Professional players.Well, they should, because they put their lives on the line to protect our countries. They go out there and risk being shot and most of the soldiers come from poor families and might not be able to afford to support their families. While athletes risk getting a sprained ankle or wrist and they still get paid more than the people who serve in the military. They risk their own lives just for us,yet 65% of this wonderful men and women have to go on government assited programs to help support their themselves. They should be paid more than someone who hits a homerun, scores, touchdowns,or kicks a ball on a field for an hour or two.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post. I totally agree with you. The military is indeed a unique subculture and I do not believe the military is using mental health support that active duty military personals and their families need. I feel the active duty members and tough to "suck up" their feelings or "man up". Also, I feel that veterans are left to deal with their mental health problems without proper discharges or support after they left the service. There is so much going on in the military community. These people have seen things one could only imagine during deployment.…

Why should college athletes be paid to participate in their sports? College athletes are awarded tuition free college due to their hard work and athletic abilities, why should they get paid extra money outside of their tuition being paid? Student athletes in college only have two jobs while they are attending, to learn and become a better and smarter athlete. These student athletes don’t need extra money outside of having their tuition, room and board, and food paid for. They are also given clothing which takes away another money based need. These student athletes are given much more than other students and yet they still believe that they should be paid for their extra work outside of their performances. The main reason is because they are already paid through their scholarships to go to school and play sports. Other reasons to this opinion is to maintain their amatuer status, difficult…

Over the past decades, what has continued to be one of the most debatable issues in the world of sports is whether or not college football players should get paid. My honest opinion is football that players should receive a certain proportion of money because of the service that college athletes provide to the institution they attend. In addition, they should be rewarded in a reasonable manner after putting their bodies out on the line, bringing in a tremendous amount of money, it will help with the football athletes to begin creating a sense of financial awareness, and finally it will attract more talented athletes.…

Imagine this: you are in the military force, you risk your life on a day-to-day basis for our country's freedom. If you survive fighting, you sleep on an uncomfortable, rock hard bed and eat nauseating food. You work your tail off, yet you actually make less than the average American does yearly. Now, take into perspective, perhaps a professional boxer: they may risk their lives, but it's for our entertainment, not for our safety. When they are done wrestling, they go back to their five star hotels and eat gourmet food. They train, and yes, they may have worked hard to get to where they are, but they're out here making millions per fight, which is way more than what the average American makes. Look closer, should an entertainer really get paid such a profound amount for one fight, rather than those who work to…

These men and women got to war to fight, so we can live peacefully. They are the only ones that know how it feels to see people die and to kill in order to survive at war.
