“Miley Cyrus, an American singer and actress, became a sensation in the television series Hannah Montana” (Funk and Wagnalls). When Miley Cyrus was two, she ran onstage in the middle of an Elvis Presley tribute concert, jumped into her daddy’s arms, and began to sing along with Melissa Etheridge, Dwight Yoakam, and Aaron Neville (Cutter and Edmond). At age nine, she was taking acting and singing classes in Toronto. She became famously known as Hannah Montana when she landed the lead role in the show at the age of twelve. Miley Cyrus was born on November 23, 1992, she grew up outside of Nashville, Tennessee, about 30 minutes away from where she was born in Franklin, TN.
