    Antwone Fisher: the Movie

The movie, Antwone Fisher is a wonderful and thought provoking film full of symbolism, pain, and hope. It is also a very “familiar story” considering other coming-of-age films, but it is presented with “great sympathy and intelligence” that the viewer will not soon forget. (Berardinelli) Antwone Fisher takes the audience through a journey of various subsystems of communities: prison, orphanage, foster care, homeless shelter, and the Navy. However a community encompasses more than a system. Community is ever changing, evolving, and interacting with the needs of the people developing into their own. Communities are influenced by environment, political climate, and economy. We watch Antwone Fisher dream of his perfect family, and the need he has to make a connection with his past. However, the journey he goes through with the help of his Psychiatrist, Dr. Davenport, and his girlfriend Cheryl, is trying, sometimes turbulent, and full of pit-falls. Antwone reaches his own epiphany when he learns who he is, meets his family, and is able to trust others while overcoming his fear of rejection and abandonment. Watching the events unfold through Antwone’s eyes, you find yourself asking what specific influences kept him from turning to violence and crime on the streets. Those answers can be found by carefully examining the progression of events, Antwone’s choices, positive influences, as well as looking at the meaning and symbolism behind the scenes.…

The Saab 340A is a Swedish twin turboprop passenger plane which was first produced in 1983. Although they are no longer in production, they are still actively used. It was designed in a partnership between Saab and Fairchild with each company being responsible for certain aspects. Fairchild’s portin included the wings, engine housing, and empennage, while Saab handles the fin, fuselage, and final assembly. They agreed upon a General Electric CT7-5A2 engine and a Dowty Rotol 4 Bladed Composite propeller. This engine is just the commercial version of the General Electric T700 which was already being used to power military helicopters. Once everything was completed, the first prototype was flown in early 1983, four years after the two companies initially agreed to work together.…

Different paradigms present different perspectives of HRD (Human Resource Development) in terms of its aims and objectives. Consequently, it important to understand the different paradigms since each paradigm will have different approachesa while solving HRD related problems. Experts advise that individuals build their personal beliefs regarding which paradigm suits his or her practice. In our context, it is best to divide HRD into two different paradigms, the performance, and the learning paradigm since they are definite. Moreover, the learning paradigm and the performance paradigm overlook most of the HRD practice as well as the thinking. The learning paradigm is especially predominant in HRD practice in the United States of America. The learning paradigm and the performance paradigm are very dissimilar in many aspects. For instance, as the learning paradigm focuses on individual learning the performance paradigm focuses on the individual performance improvement.…
