Middleville Regional Health Care Case Analysis
Middleville Regional Health Care is one of three hospitals serving a community of 350,000 people. All three hospitals are not-for-profits hospitals which mean they do not earn profits for the owners. The money that us earned or donated to a not-for-profit organization is used in keeping the organization up and running and pursing its objectives. The golden rule of the firm is to never offer criticism or a negative finding without giving suggestive feedback on how to improve.

The Governing Board role of Middleville Regional Health Care is to help the organization towards a sustainable future by adopting sound, ethical, and legal governance and financial management policies. They also make sure the nonprofit has adequate resources to advance

A strategic initiative is intended to achieve 3 interrelated outcomes. The first is realization of important benefits, second the transformation of the organization, and lastly a boundary-spanning vision. Successful strategic initiaves apply a disciplined approach for planning, executing, controlling, and etc. Companies benefit from making a plan that meets the demands and rapidly adapting to change.

The strategic process would include assessing long term sustainability. Hospitals need to discuss organization's long tem sustainability in terms of market position, financial situation, and payor mix. Negative financial performance makes it hard for organization to implement new programs and technology. Hospitals have to take a step back and look at their positions long term.
