I have been at Englewood School for four years. I am pleased to say that during these years I have created new friends and lived many exciting experiences. As a new student in third grade, my classmates and teachers made me feel as if I was among my family. From class time discussions to Christmas plays, we have enjoyed every single day within this community. Days filled with joy, laughter, and even sometimes sorrows have been our foundation to move to our next step. Our teachers have completed their mission and successfully prepared us for middle school.
Our future experiences will be influenced from the exciting and moving moments that we cherish from the elementary years. Although we cannot go back to relive the

Now that I’m close to completing Col 101, the in depth discussions has taught me the importance and purpose of reaching the worth of my education. One of the biggest fears of college students is gaining an excessive amount of weight. As most UMass students know, the school’s dining commons are currently ranked second in the United States by the Princeton Review. When I began attending school, the term “Freshman 15” was a common term that was often spoken about amongst my friends. I always looked at the “Freshman 15” as a myth before college. I wanted to learn more about UMass Amherst’s food. I wondered if it could be possible that UMass could be ranked as having one of the best dinning commons in the country and also have healthy…

Tons of millions of young adults every day throughout America are not able to get into college. Young adults nowadays have given up on their chances to go to college, because they are too poor to afford not only to be able to attend college but because of the supplies people need. Back when I was in high school around late November early December is when I begin to get sick and I felt really tired and all I wanted to do was sleep. In early January I found out that I was pregnant. After Christmas break when I went back to school I would put my head down and hope for all the morning sickness to go away. I eventually ended up falling asleep and forgetting what was going on in class. My teacher would hand me my assignment and I would take them home that night along with my homework and never completed because I was so tried. After school I would go straight to work and I did not get off work until 11:00pm or sometimes 12:00pm by the time I got in the house I was ready to shower and get in bed I did not feel like doing homework…

My mother was determined that all her children graduate high school so we often moved to various counties in the St. Louis area because she knew a high-quality education was based on zip code. In my junior year I was in the sixth high school that my siblings and I attended. This school was unlike the others. Although it is hard to believe, we were surrounded by middle and upper class families that looked like us. I walked into the corridor of this brand-new school and the brightness made me feel alive. The architecture of this school resembled a shopping mall filled with vast resources for students. My obsession with science and mathematics took hold. I immersed myself in this new community, taking part in various clubs, learning,…
