This mid-semester the goals that were thought were subject-verb agreement, this goal was learned and mastered by learning the types of verbs, nouns, pronouns, and how to identify each them in paragraphs. I learned the subject verb agreement rules by learn how by apply them in sentences and how they connect. The second goal was pronoun-antecedent agreement which begun by going over the eight parts of speech which included Interjection, pronouns, adjectives, verb, adverb, noun, conjunction, and prepositions. The next concept to learn the goal was to learn pronouns, and antecedents and learning how to they replace each other, by practicing. When applying for careers it is important to use correct grammar because most companies are looking for well educated people who will do well in a professional atmosphere. When communicating in business careers to a professional audience to in important to have a basic understanding to ensure people take you serious. Proper usage of grammar also affects the basic understanding when completing formal or business documents to look professional and educated. My goal for this unit was accomplished by attending SAS and by doing separate research on the topic I struggled with, I think I did a good job with understanding the topics I had a hard time on. During this half semester I learned many basic grammar skills that are helpful for professional and educational documents and speeches. I think the learning skills that I learned this year will be a big part of learning other concepts and being able to learn other topics. The steps I will take to continue to have the best understanding of grammar is to look over notes and practice the concepts, If I find myself struggling I will attend SAS to better my understanding.
