Michelle Gingas
In the beginning of the semester, I got the opportunity to meet Michelle Gingas from Fox Sports Network and TampaBayLightning.com. I had the chance to hear her story of how she became a sports broadcaster. In the process of starting her career, Gingas studied journalism at Loyola University and quickly found her niche in sports broadcasting. Gingas knew at a very young age that she wanted to do something that allowed her to interact with people on a daily basis as well as try and leave an impact on someone or make a positive difference. Gingas also loved how sports brought people together and loved the passion they brought out of her, so she tries to communicate that same passion she felt with viewers when she is covering a sport.
Gingas loves what she is currently doing, and considered herself to be very lucky and blessed to have had the opportunities she has in broadcasting so far. Since Gingas studied journalism at Loyola and was a big athlete growing up, she loved how sports brought people together and that keeps her motivated. She got her current position by filling in work in summer of 2015. They liked her work,

However, when she got the opportunity to host hockey games, she did not pass on the job opportunity. Gingas went into the Fox News job interview and talked about her love for sports in general. She explained that she is not experience in playing hockey, but she is passionate and she will work diligently to meet they

The True Myths of Sports If there ever was a masterwork of American sports journalism, articles “In The Nick of Time” by Rick Bragg, and “Praise The Lloyd” by Katie Baker lie close to it. Despite their similarities, such as reflecting the American subculture which they respectively discuss near-mythological greatness; both articles do so in a completely different, yet effective, manner. “Praise The Lloyd” uses informal and current language and phrases to treat the US women’s national team as gods among us, accessible and relatable, whereas “In The Nick of Time” comes forth told much by word of mouth of Alabamians and treats its subject with an air of complete reverence and grace.…

Collectively, epics of creation are well known for the world gradually going through the change from being completely chaotic to fairly and orderly. Looking specifically at Enuma Elish and the Ugaritic Baal Cycle, each depicts female and male gods in particular and unique ways. In successfully contrasting the males and females in these works, similarities are also therefore notably highlighted throughout the works. Both epics tell their story and characterize the gods and goddesses’ as ones who are extremely powerful and violent, principally the male gods, as well as the female and male “pairs” in the creations. Parallel to this, differences are highlighted in the acquiring of their titles as almighty ones, as well as their traits and roles.…

Michelle is not the hero in the story. The short story The Michelle I Know does have a hero but it is not Michelle. The hero in the story in my opinion is Claude. Claude is the hero in this story for three very important reasons. First, by playing his guitar he helped Michelle to get to a place where she could be comfortable with herself. Next, the night when Michelle went to visit Claude in his room he helped her to realize that no matter what giving in to her disease would not make anything better. Finally, Claude is the hero in the story because he seems to bring a certain bit of relief to the conflict of the story.…

For a large portion of her young life, including school, she was out of bed for training before 5:30 a.m. Presently she works at the Hartford Courant in Connecticut as a correspondent. It was a jostling shift, without a doubt. "The more you commit yourself to something, such as swimming, and the more forfeits you make for it, the harder it is to release it," says Taylor Reynolds, another previous Northwestern swimmer. Southern Illinois University Carbondale graduate understudy Erica Smith composed an article regarding the matter: "One reason why it is so difficult for competitors to change out of their game at all levels is on the grounds that they have presumably had a great deal of accomplishment in that game," she says. "Possibly they have had more achievement in their game than in some other aspects of their life. In this way, they are characterized by their game achievement." Yet after all that hard work the fall short, and have to home with nothing and that is…

Girl, written by Jamaica Kincaid, is a short story about the relationship between a mother and daughter. Actually, it reflects the true living background in Kincaid’s time by listing a series of imperative sentences, which show how the mother had a certain life style on how she wanted her daughter to live up. In this story, the setting and tone and characters interlace and work together to create an intense description of the daily conversation between the mother and daughter, and they present the low social status of working-class women’s living attitude.…
