Executive Summary

This report concentrates heavily on the strategic human resource management adopted by the popular oil and natural gas company, Chevron. Senior HR employee at Chevron, Mr. Stawb Peter Halder was interviewed as he extended continuous support throughout the making of this report to illustrate Chevron’s Human Resource Structure and other necessary details.
This report reveals the linkage between the strategic human resource factors implemented by Chevron and the theories that have been taught in the course by our respected faculty. Based upon the interview we conducted, the report has focused on the training outline followed by needs assessment. The needs assessment had all the proposed instructors and the reason for using them. The training objectives of Chevron were also included on the report keeping in mind they are aligned with the theories. Moreover, the evaluation plan included training evaluation, training effectiveness with the mention of the four stages as well as explaining them. The report also provides a hypothetical analysis of the Kirk Patrick Model.

A business should not disclose medical information unless it is necessary for the company to succeed. If an individual has a highly-infectious disease in their system, it might be important for a company to share this information with another if that person is planning to work with others in one way or another. The lawsuits that may follow with hiring an individual that will make others ill as well would not be worth it. This would create ethical dilemmas because the company might need the information but the employee may not consent to disclosing it.…

This proposal provides a guide to properly integrating culturally diverse business models to international business acquisitions. When the Roaring Dragon Hotel (RDH) needed improvements, Hotel International (HI) was brought in to make the changes. HI’s approach was not sensitive to local customs and cultural norms. While employees needed to become more productive, HI’s motivation methods were not as successful as expected. This proposal will address this issue while providing recommendations on improving communication with HI managers and current employees at the RDH. It will also analyze the importance of including current RDH leaders in the new management style. Breaking language barriers and taking current RDH leaders’ opinions into consideration will provide for a well-rounded administration. By keeping these recommendations, HI can provide a working environment where RDH staff feels empowered and a part of the team.…
