ALS is nervous system disease that weakens muscles and impacts physical function. is an extremely rare disease, with about two out of every 100,000 people affected by the disease, according to the ALS Association. Mitch's long time professor Morrie also has ALS. Despite having this unfortunate disease, Morrie is still optimistic and teaching lessons to Mitch. In the Memoir Tuesday with Morrie Morrie teaches people through loving and trusting family, accept aging and realizing love goes on even after a person is gone. Firstly Morrie teaches that sticking and trusting family is important in life. Morries childhood was not easy nor happy. Morrie´s mother died when he was very young. Morrie knew that family love and support was important. He loved his wife and children and appreciated his loved ones caring for him. An aphorism he said was ¨love each other or perish¨ (Albom 91). I agree with this quote because truly loving everyone in a family is important. People have to stick together and support their family even if it is a difficult relationship. Besides all of Morries wisdom , these 3 aphorism were connective and important to me. Supporting and loving family because they were most likely there there for there kids or dieing unhappy, embracing and accepting aging because it is normal and everyone has their time. Last of all realizing that love goes on even after death and a person is remembered in many hearts. Morrie is one of the unlucky person in the world to get ALS, and despite that he still inspired, smiled and lived his life to the fullest instead of grieve or cry which would have been common. He teached Mitch and many people with ALS around the world to have spirits in their lives, including me.
