The song I’ve very precisely selected is ‘Medina’ by Maher Zain. This song falls into the genre of Soul music, which is a popular music genre mostly for early teens to young adults. Examples of other popular contemporary or modern Soul music artists include, Mary J. Blige, Anthony Hamilton, Joss Stone, and Raphael Saadiq. This genre originated in the U.S from around 1950s to early 1960s. Moreover, In January of 2010, Maher Zain was awarded the World Music Awards for being the World's Best Entertainer of the Year.
