Medicines And Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency
MHRA stands for Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency.

This government regulating body is the UK's regulator of medicines, medical devices and blood components for transfusion, responsible for ensuring their safety, quality and effectiveness. The MHRA is also, part of the Department of Health.

The MHRA was designed in order to help protect and maintain the public's health and their safety too.

MHRA is involved in making sure any medical devices such as a heart pacemaker is a safe, and is able to work in the correct manner in which it is designed for, and causing no risk or minimal risk to any patients having a medical device inserted inside them.
