weed. we all know what it is but do we really know the full effects of what it can do? medicinal marijuana is not a new medical breakthrough taking the world by storm. its a traditional form of medicine that we are now only just realising can have major medical benefits. Canada and parts of the united states have already granted the medical use of marijuana legal and its about time Australia follows.

medicinal marijuana is created by organically growing a marijuana plant and harvesting the natural flowers. This can either then be smoked, vaped, applied as an oil or lotion or eaten through edibles such as cookies or candy. our bodies naturally produce endocannabinoids, which are primarily found in the brain. these receptors are the bodies

it can be prescribed in many different strains to apply to many different situations. These can range from nausea due to cancer chemo to a variety epilepsy disorders.

Tara O’Connell is a 10 year old girl from Bendigo who has a life threatening form of epilepsy called Dravet syndrome. She was having up to 200 seizures a day and was expected to not live past her 9th birthday. On Australia day, 2013, Tara went into a clinical trial for a medicinal marijuana tincture. Tara has now been seizure free since April that year all due to a small bottle of marijuana oil. Her family had tried everything they could find to try and alleviate Tara’s condition and nothing had worked… medicinal marijuana saved a 10 year old girls life .

now many people have the idea that taking medicinal marijuana to treat a condition is like taking crystal meth for a headache… that is beyond false. marijuana is the least dangerous of all illicit drugs on the streets today. The consumption of alcohol has a higher death rate then marijuana … and thats legal. drinking alcohol does nothing to assist with seizures from epilepsy or the constant shaking due to Parkinson’s ,so why are we willing letting people consumer it to ‘take a load off’ when they could be taking a drop of medicinal marijuana oil that could actually do something to improve their condition in the long
