In this paper I will explore the subject media and the effect on today’s society. The research information was gathered from two websites. The role the media plays in delivering the media to the public is an important fact covered in this essay. The significance of news media on culture and society is huge and changing from day to day. The social responsibility the news media has regarding ethical and legal compliance online. A few of the key supporting thoughts are as follows. The different forms of media and the various delivery methods to the public. The advantages and disadvantages of modern delivery. The changes in the media over the last century. A few other topics covered in this paper include how culture is reflected in movies and TV. The relationship between TV and movies and culture and the most influential and important games released to the public within the last few years. Another thought covered in this essay is the controversial issues over modern electronic games.

Media and the Effect on Today’s Society
You are the news director of a local television station. The city council has just voted to close city parks three days a week to save money. Meanwhile, a major celebrity has died. The park story has greater effect on your viewers, but the celebrity death will get bigger ratings? Which do you make your lead story and why? The news story based on the three parks closing should take priority over the celebrity dying. The park story does have a greater effect on the community. It affects schools, churches, and families. These groups count on the parks for recreation both for students and for their own families. Many families and individual will spend money in the community and then enjoy their food while visiting the park. Without parks available, the local restaurants suffer the loss of business. It affects jobs In the community, the parks and recreation departments, and more jobs lost and the economy is greatly challenged. This then begins to affect home and car sales and the community.

In today's society it is the media, which is the main source of information. The role the media plays in today's society is the main source of information. The media offers many sources to choose from. The Internet is one source; it offers several websites to gather information and to conduct social networking both personally and professionally. Newspapers offer another way to keep up with the daily news. The most popular source of media is the television. The television has a way of delivering the news in a way that it can be convincing to change an opinion. Most viewers have complete faith and trust in the source of the information.

The significance of immediate news media and the delivery on culture affects the population in a positive way. Millions of people at the same time will receive important or breaking news in a quick and efficient manner. Long ago before television news, the news was delivered by newspapers to homes of the subscribers. This required much effort and time to reach everyone. The newspaper carrier spent hours delivering to all on his route. Media news delivery has come a long way over the years and it will continue to improve as the future is upon us.

Media and the effect on society
The news media and TV, movies, video games and music contribute to society in many ways. They provide entertainment to all of us. The movie industry has made giant strides, Blockbuster has kiosk in our local convenience stores and Redbox is available in many retail locations. The Internet is changing daily and will continue to make strides and improvements. There is much to be grateful for and the future is just around the corner and the excitement that technology offers continues to build in anticipation. Social responsibilities of the news...
