In Psychology there are so many different careers that have gained my interest because I love learning how people function, behave, and how the brain works. The first career that truly gained my full interest is Neuropsychologist. Neuropsychologists are the ones that explore not only the brain system but they also explore behavior and the relationship between the two. This is something that interests me more than I can put into words. One of the reasons I have so much interest in this type of career is because I myself have fetal alcohol syndrome, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder as well as learning disorder. Being able to study the cognitive functions of the brain such as attention, language and memory I believe will eventually help me to understand more of my disabilities and how to work past them. A Neuropsychologist is also able to evaluate people who have various types of nervous system disorders. They work closely with doctors including neurologists. Illnesses, injuries, and diseases of the brain and nervous system can affect the way a person feels, thinks, and behaves and some of the symptoms may call for a neuropsychologist. Those symptoms are memory difficulties, mood disturbances, learning difficulties as…

I chose to do the self-assessment of CareerLeader to try and help me get a feel for what career fields connect with my motivations and my interests. My interests rated as a personal high was not a surprise to me with the application of technology, being the highest score with 87. The description behind application of technology was interested in learning about and using new technologies. Enjoy analyzing and designing (or redesigning) business processes such as production and operations systems. Which is relatively true I enjoy doing in-depth research into the newest upcoming technology and how I can use it. The description section about enjoying analyzing the business process stood out to me, I catch myself doing this often in any situation I’m a part of. One thing CareerLeader said to be aware of was if I was seeking a job in the engineering field some places will not accept me if I do not have an engineering degree. I took this interest as being more relatable to the newest technology a company could use to help its sales, finances, and PR.…

When the topic comes to "choosing your own career path", I would think of being an entrepreneur. You may wonder is an entrepreneur actually a small-business owner since they are both people who set up and operate a business. I would say somehow they are different. Although many small-business owners possess the same drive, creative energy, and desire to become big-business owners, others may be content to operate a business that provides a comfortable living. By contrast, a typical entrepreneur is a risk taker who tries to make the business grow. There are three reasons why I want to be an entrepreneur.…
