Meaningful things
I consider myself a very organized person; however, I have learn not to despair every now and then when I lose things that I use in my everyday life such as my keys, my cellphone charger, and even my glasses; but when it comes to losing things that are of great importance to me, things that I am so attached to I think it will make me mad and sad because due to a distraction I will lost a piece of me; for example, my box of memories, my signed shirt from my last day of high school or the only picture that I have of my parents and I together. As everyone else in the world should, I am the kind of person who has a keepsake of every good and bad moment of my life. I conserve my remembrances in what I call a box of memories. My box of memories was at first a large box of Lego bricks which I received as a Christmas gift from my godfather. After I piece together my Lego figure, my mom and I decide to decorate the box with colorful magazine page rolls whit the intention of making the box a small vault of memories. It is full of pictures of my family, friends, letters that I wrote but never send, letters that I received, my first pair of shoes as a newborn, awards that I had receive, my first tooth, and even old school grades. Almost every significant moment of my life is inside this box and that is the reason why I would hate to lose it, I would not be missing a simple box but a part of me, my memories. Additionally, I would hate to lose my signed shirt from my last day of high school as it is a one of the only things that I conserve of these four long years. In my country it is a custom to have a shirt signed by all of your friends and teachers on the last day of high school. In my case I chose to have my friends sign my physical education shirt because it is white and messages can easily read. My PE shirt is signed by my friends and teachers, it has about two hundred messages including advises, emails, their contact numbers, jokes and funny

I am a very forgetful person. I can lose things within minutes and have absolutely no idea as to where it is. Consequently, being that person can be very tough because no one really trust you with their belongings, you lose everything and it becomes very frustrating, etc. So it is very of the norm for me to causally misplace my phone. One day while leaving the mall after a day of handing out with friends I realized I misplaced my phone. I didn’t really give it much thought because this is a normal habit for me. However, it wasn’t until I got home that I realized, “I really don’t have my phone.” I went straight into panic mode because I realized that it could be anywhere, with anyone. After about forty-five minutes of crying and searching,…

My grandfather, a veteran of the US Military, was a husband and father of 6 sons. Our family has never been rich nor wealthy, but my Grandfather was a hard worker and made many treasures for my Grandmother. When I was just a little girl my Grandma told me the story of how I came to be named Tiffany, my Grandfather insisted because he was very ill that he named the last grandchild he will get to meet. Then she brought out a beautiful chest, not a big chest but a petite one you could put on a shelf or dresser and gave it to me, said she knew he would want me to have it. It was hand made by my Grandfather for my Grandmother for their first anniversary. I cherish the chest, not because it is fancy or expensive, it is a memory of my Grandfather and Grandmother’s love. The box represents our family bond and how no matter rich or poor there is something beautiful if you just open your mind and create it. Beauty isn’t only found in diamonds and pearls, it’s in family, love, and…
