Such as, having the freedom to vote, freedom of information and freedom of choice. Some people may think that they have the freedom to do what they like without any restrictions. They are completely wrong. For instance, some people think that they have the freedom to join the heretical Church of Almighty God and to kill non-believers. American citizens must follow their strict and detailed laws. For example, almost all their state laws don't allow shops to sell alcohol to minors under 21-years-old.What's more, parents are asked to take good care of their children otherwise they would be deprived of their custody. All these mean that if you want to enjoy your freedom, you must shoulder your responsibilities and obligations first. For a country, if you fulfill more international obligations and more international responsibilities, you will get more support and you will enjoy more freedom. For example, the Ebola outbreak in West African not only posed a threat to the people of West Africa, but also posed a threat to public health security in the world. As a country that shoulders great responsibilities, the Chinese government provided substantial assistance and actively participated in relevant international cooperation,to fight against Ebola. The actions have been highly praised by the World Health Organization, the United Nations and West African countries. Therefore, China is playing an increasingly important role in international affairs. Similarily,if a country wants to enjoy its right of freedom, it must take up the responsibilities and obligations of international affairs. In a word, freedom is not absolutely free. If you want to enjoy your freedom, you must do what you should

As Russia fears that there will be a separatist movement taking place sometime soon due to the recent political protests and demonstrations as a result of Putin’s continued reign as President, it has begun cracking down on the freedoms of its citizens. Demonstrations have been interrupted by law enforcement and even imprisonment. Russian citizens seem to gradually be losing their right to choose their leaders as Putin refuses to release his hold on authority and extend to his citizens the opportunity to voice their opinion through the medial or any other social outlet. Such censorship of individual thought is also evident within China which makes the expression one’s personal ideology and thoughts impossible. Within both countries there may be the freedom to choose, yet this freedom of choice does not truly reflect liberty as their choice is limited to a certain individual such as Putin or in China’s situation, the Communist Party. Nigeria’s political freedom is also hindered by election fraud. Even if the people do free cast their vote for a certain political candidate, the consistent reports of fraud throughout the country prove that there is no true liberty or freedom of choice. While some may view Iran as also being fraudulent when considering the…

“The average man does not want to be free. He simply wants to be safe.” -H. L. Mencken. Mencken implies that the average man would rather know that he is safe then to have freedom without safety. He implies that the average man would be happy living as his nation’s pet. So how can we be safe if we don’t have the freedom to voice our oppression? How can we protect ourselves when the ones giving us safety turn against us? Our freedom is what makes us safe, without it we cannot be truly safe. Our freedom of free speech and our right to bear arms are what protects us from being squashed by a tyrannical government. Our freedom protects and empowers us to fight for the safety of all people.…
