MY LIFE
In 10 years They say in one’s life we all make choices, but in the end, our choices make us. You’re about to embark with me unto the long, curvy road of my life, and Watch upon it as it unfolds through my eyes. This is my life as I see it will be ten years from now. I have most of it planned out already. This is my story.

Right now I am a junior in high school, barely contemplating about how my life will be like until now. I have a lot of friends that I would severely miss after we moved on, and met a new set of friends. I tried to keep as many as I could. Many of my friends were going into the armed forces. And no matter how much my family disapproved, I was thoroughly thinking about it. But for the time being I was working as a mechanic for my father’s dairy. Personally I think I got too much slack when working there, but eventually I would learn to respect my job more. I’ve gotten a first car, I planned on graduating, and I also expected to go to college. So far my life looked as clear as a newly crafted window.

10 years had passed, and I graduated college. I got to prove my low expectant father wrong and it was the best feeling in the world. My mother was overjoyed because she had always expected much of me. She always was more than just a mom to me, she was a friend. As of now I am working as an engineer for dairymen and anyone who will hire me. I am a proficient welder which gives me, a very well deserved, high pay. At that time I met the girl of my dreams. She is beautiful,

honest, and loving woman. Her personality is to die for however which is the best part. We became married eventually and had one child. Over the years I grew extremely well attached to my son. We are very good friends now, just like me and my mother. Eventually, however I would decide to go into the military shortly after.

People were asking me what branch I would go into, however, no one

Your life is what you make it. In Ron Rash’s The World Made Straight, Lori and Dena are perfect examples of this statement. In a short film called “Life Explained in 27 Seconds,” Casey Neistat explains how he views living in this world, “life is like going the wrong way on a moving sidewalk, walk and you stay put, stand still and you go backwards, to get ahead you have to hustle”. If you know legendary filmmaker Mr. Neistat you’d know he’s all about motivation and this quote says it all. In this essay I want to share someone who is no stranger to experiencing hardships because of bad choices. He does not view his past choices as mistakes, instead he views them as milestones that got him to where he is now. It is because of his storytelling that I am a motivated and goal-oriented individual.…

The future is unpredictable, and with it come more and more responsibilities. Are you the same person you were before? Or have these actions and responsibilities molded you to become the person you are today? There is little doubt that the decisions we make pave the road of life we walk on. A person’s health can be affected by seemingly small decisions such as salad or pizza for dinner. A person’s career is affected by larger decisions such as getting a degree or enlisting in the armed services. A person’s home life is dependent on the decision of where to live and whether or not to live with a partner, children, or animals. I have made many decisions that have forged my life as I know it today. A decision six years ago to marry a man who resides in Flower Mound with his two young daughters is what has placed me on the path that I am currently on in the town that I currently live. I was a single mother of one, living a simple life. I started bookkeeping to support my daughter at the age of nineteen; the pay was steady and increased with every year I gained experience and knowledge in the field. While it was a good decision at the time to…

Jake and I live in a big old house in the High Park neighborhood of Toronto. He is the VP of Productivity Gamification for Google and I am the Senior Vice President of Online for the Hudson’s Bay Company. I am happy, active, inspired, and challenged daily. Work is exciting, intense, and full of passion and integrity. I leverage my strengths of creating something out of nothing, and find new and innovative way of growing my company’s business. My work and my life blur together effortlessly. I feel endlessly confident, calm, and energized. Our house in High Park is full of art, books, food, wine and love. It has five bedrooms and was built in the late 1800s. From the third floor patio you get an incredible view of the city and the water. Every morning Jake makes me coffee after my Moksha class and we sit on the deck and soak up the sun or the snow. Weekends are spent with family and friends – eating brunch, going on adventurous city walks and hosting lively dinner parties. We share a cottage in Georgian Bay with friends, and we escape there every chance we get. I practice hot yoga each morning at my local studio and Jake and I explore the city on our walks in the evening. We have fresh local veggies delivered to our door twice per week, and cook dinner or brunch with friends on the weekend. I lead a life I love and I inspire others around me to create lives full of possibility, happiness, and contribution.…

Hey, how are you? It’s been how many years again since we met. Remember the day that we introduce our selves to each other? It’s been like 70years ago, and the setting is it’s in our university and first I thought you were a really arrogant guy, because you don’t even say hi or hello when I go in but I realize the reason why such thing happens, because your eye have a grade for like 250. Lol. But that’s one of the coolest thing happened, I met my bestman in our wedding. And I remember when I was like the clown in our room, we laugh and laugh like we have no plates or assignments to do, when our grades is so low we were like stare to each other then laugh so hard. I wonder where our friends were after all this years. I hope they are all good and healthy. By the way how are you and your wife, jaja? I hope you all doing fine. Me? I’m okay after all this years, still strong and awesome. Hahahaha. Anyways, my 50th wedding anniversary was such a successful event, It’s like a family reunion to me, and I’m so thankful 98% of invited didn’t disappoint me, First it was like a big reminiscing party. I remember when we were young and I remember my wife now… It was like just yesterday… I missed everything about the past, how we watch cinemas when we were young… how we solved problems each time… how we forget everything and run while laughing… We were sitting in the middle of the party and we were just staring at each other and wondering if there’s another 50years to spend with each other, but we don’t lose hope… the food was awesome. We ate like there’s no tomorrow and the guests’ even dance for us, many surprises like unexpected guests, such like our old schoolmates, classmates, and our old friends. That’s one of a unbelievable party happened to us and we were so blessed to reach this age and this kind of anniversary. The anniversary were planned by our grandchildren and our sons and daughters, and I’m surprised with the theme because of course I’m also a fine arts student…

During my high school life, like almost everyone, I started to grow up and notice certain things. Deep down I only really cared about football, but that is beside the point. I have four parents and not a single one of them went to college and I started to notice how they weren’t living the life that I wanted to someday have. Not that they were unsuccessful in life but it was starting to become obvious that if I wanted to have a better adult life, I needed to start worry about college. All the pushing that my family had done over the years had sunk in and I started to really worrying about my future. I always had solid grades but I didn’t…
