McDonalds
McDonald 's Corporation has been identified as one of the world 's largest chain of fast food restaurants. McDonald’s serves nearly 60 million customers daily through more than 32,000 restaurants in 117 countries worldwide and employs 1.7 million people globally. McDonald’s sells various fast food items, soft drinks, smoothies, lemonade, burgers, chicken, wraps, salads, fries, ice cream and breakfast items (bagels, yogurt, biscuit, mcmuffin and fruit).
McDonald’s start their business in 1940 by two brothers Dick and Mac McDonald in San Bernardino. CA. They introduce the "Speedee Service System" in 1948 which established the principles of the modern fast-food restaurant. The original mascot of McDonald 's was a man with a chef 's hat on top of a hamburger shaped head whose name was "Speedee." Speedee was eventually replaced with Ronald McDonald in 1963. Due to a change in McDonald’s marketing strategy Ronald McDonald is given the back seat as the mascot in 2011.
In 1955 the first McDonalds franchised was open Des Plains, IL to Ray Kroc and he incorporates his company as McDonald’s Corporation. By 1960, he purchase bought the exclusive rights to the McDonald’s name and led its worldwide expansion and the company became listed on the public stock markets in 1965 with the trading symbol of MCD. Their vision is “To be the best and leading fast food provider around the globe” and their mission “McDonald 's brand mission is to be our customers ' favorite place and way to eat, and improve our operations to provide the most delicious fast food that meet our customers ' expectations”. Lastly, the values are summarized in "Q.S.C.& V.". Provide good quality, services to customer. Have a cleanliness environment when customer enjoys their meal. The value of food product makes every customer is smiling”.
All findings presented are based on McDonalds Annual Report of December 2010. McDonalds has performed outstanding in the past four years. Their revenues in both

    The first “McDonalds” restaurant was opened by brothers Dick and McDonald in 1940 on Route 66 in San Bernadino, California. The menu had about twenty five offerings and the “carhops” (workers who take food to vehicles) served people waiting in their cars. McDonald’s success thrives on adapting to consumer demands.     The original founders of McDonald’s, and the fast-food concept, were brothers Dick and Mac McDonald. In 1948, they modified their drive-in restaurant, creating the standard for the contemporary fast-food restaurant of modern times. From the introduction of a limited menu of just nine items, and by focusing on efficient production and service, the brothers were able to halve the price of their hamburgers to 15 cents. Ray Kroc, who, at this time was a 52-year-old milkshake machine salesman, heard of the brothers’ generation of around $350,000 in annual revenues, and instantly became convinced that its concept could work in other cities. Kroc became the first franchisee appointed by the McDonald brothers, and opened his first restaurant the following year in Des Plaines, Illinois. In 1961, Kroc bought all the rights to the McDonald’s concept from the McDonald brothers for $2.7 million. Kroc was somewhat of an obsessive individual, fixated with rules, regulations, procedures, and obedience to his strict rules of discipline. Kroc was especially concerned with maintaining McDonald's clean image, as well as that of life in general, and could regularly be seen picking up litter outside of his restaurants in order to maintain the high standard of cleanliness upon which many of his principles were based. During the 1960s, McDonald’s invested a great deal of capital into advertising and marketing campaigns.
