Jim Hall was born in Hopkinsville, Kentucky in 1947. Hall graduated from the University of Kentucky with a B.A. in English and has a doctorate in literature from the University of Utah. He was raised in a southern family who had gone through some tragic scandal but, through this strengthened Halls writing and poetry skills. Even though it can be presented as a humorous poem, the problems that spiderman has can be relatable to everyone.
