Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment
By: James Patterson
Rating: 7

1. The book revolves around Max(Maximum Ride), she is a normal teenager with five younger siblings, except not. She along with Fang, Iggy, Gasman, Angel, and Nudge (also known as “The Flock”) are kids who were science experiments at a place called the “The
School”. They were mutated and morphed with wings and are able to fly. After escaping, the Flock live together; they are not blood related, however they are like family. Max being the oldest takes care of the family. After the youngest member, Angel, is captured and taken back to The School, Max, Nudge, and Fang set out to save her. In the midst of their journey, Max sees a girl in danger and rescues her but gets injured while doing so. She finds out the girl’s name is Ella and she asks for help. Since Ella’s mother turns out to be a vet, she helps Max; they then discover a tracking device thats been placed in Max since she was younger. After fighting off The School’s half-human half-wolf guards(also called
Erasers), the gang is back together. After reaching The School, they are captured and

returned to cages as they once were. There they find Jeb, a scientist who helped them escape, acted like a father-figure to Max, but then suddenly disappeared. The escape once again with Angel. According to what Angel had overheard, the Flock make a journey to
Washington DC where The Institute is located. They go there to learn about themselves and where they came from.
2. I think the intended audience could be anybody. The action-packed series could be for kids, teenagers, and even adults. The thrill of the book and the excitement makes for an appealing and entertaining book for all ages.
3. My favorite scene in the book was when Max was describing the experience of flying. It was so well written and so creatively written that it painted an extremely vivid picture in my mind.
4. I chose to read this book because I
