Maximize Wellness Case Study
1. Maximize wellness: The nurse helps the patient to maximize wellness by assessing the patients both physically and psychosocially. Once the nurse gathers information during the assessment from the patient, the physician is able to meet with the patient and the health care team together provides a plan for the patient.
2. Prevent illness: The main way the nurse prevents illness is by education. The patient should be given clear instructions on what shoes to wear and how to treat their feet after they have a procedure done, such as, nail removal. The nurse also explains the signs and symptoms of infection to the patient and educates the patient to come back if they notice anything abnormal.
