Mass Shooting Speech
Violence is one of the cruelest acts in this world. From terror attacks, to bullying, violence is everywhere. Martin Luther once said, "Nothing good ever comes of violence." Luther was saying that whenever something bad happens that is violence related nothing good comes from it. We should have Peace not violence.

Mass shootings are one of the many acts of violence in society. I would like to talk about one in particular, the mass shooting in Las Vegas, NV. The shooting took place on October 3, 2017. The shooting was one of the most violent shootings in American history. The shooting left 58 people dead, and 546 injured. The shooting occurred at a Country music festival on the Las Vegas Strip and directly across from Mandalay Bay, where the shooter was shooting from. It will always be one of the deadliest mass shootings in history.

Crime, bullying, and mass shootings is turning into a every day or monthly thing. From the shooting in Vegas or bullying online violence is getting worse and worse each day. Every person is going to be a victim of violence sometime in their life. People need to learn to be peaceful and not harm. Mother Teresa once said, " Peace begins with a smile." People will not be afraid of anything, such as violence, if they are always smiling. The community such as the church and people all around the wold need to put a end to this. The world we live in today is how it will reflect in the future. This is why we need to go out and stop

Violence has been taught since childhood, everywhere people go, everywhere people look, violence is surrounding us in daily life. Throughout the years violence has become a dangerous trend. People use violence everyday as a sense of protection and even because it seems like the thing to do. Violence is so widespread it has become normal, and society is slowly becoming numb to the idea that violence is making our world worse. Many innocent people are being killed and questions are not being asked as well as the right actions are not being taken for the people using violence illogically. When reports come in saying someone was murdered there is always an excuse for a criminal’s actions. Usually the person is mentally ill, had a rough childhood, or saw things as a child that made them use violence. Whether a person is in their right mind or not, violence is not acceptable. Violence is unsafe for our world and makes society live in fear because they worry about the possibility of dying each day. Living in a world where a culture of violence is accepted as the norm will always bring fear to the world. This violence makes us feel like the end is near, and as time goes on it will bring about an apocalypse.…

I didn’t even know it was near that many mass shootings that I haven’t even heard of.Before the second day of October we have had 294 mass shootings, including the first day of October! These shootings have to stop and when they do happen I feel like everyone should know about this tragedy that keeps recurring in our country. Many shootings happen daily and only a few make it to the headlines or are major on social media. But all of these shootings need to be stopped or we need a new way for people to protect themselves at all times in case of a shooting.Last year there wasn’t even eight days that went by without a shooting…

Violent shootings are becoming more and more popular in the United States. Last year there were 58,543 shooting incidents. There were 1,956 incidents where it was a self-defense case. However, 384 of these shooting incidents were classified as mass shooting incidents. That means there was a mass shooting everyday last year, which is a pretty scary thing to think about (Past Summary Ledgers).…

At approximately 11:36 today we became aware of a situation where a student made an inappropriate comment about a school shooting. We immediately interviewed the students involved. The student admitted to making an inappropriate comment regarding shooting up the school, but emphasized it was only a joke and never meant any harm. The school has taken appropriate steps in dealing with the situation and wanted to make you aware. I want to reassure parents that we take any threat very seriously, and will always do everything possible to keep our students and our school safe, as it is at this moment. Please discuss these situations with your youth and inform them that in today's society, we simply cannot make jokes about violence in any way.…
