Martin Luther King was a peaceful man with a goal of equality for African Americans. He could have easily chose to fight fire with fire but instead he made the decision to protest peacefully and respectfully. Although his tactics were peaceful and respectful he was jailed on numerous accounts in the 60s. Martin Luther King not only fought for equality for others but acceptance of all races. His leadership is represented by his tenacious determination to reach his goal.
He was a great team player he didn’t reach his goals by taking all of the credit. He had help from all of his followers who helped him reach his goals. Without the support from his followers he may have never created equality for African Americans. He was very dedicated to his cause and kept his dream alive through his vision of a new chapter. He demonstrated leadership by staying optimistic especially in times of doubt.

His legacy will continue to live on throughout all of us. His unrelenting passion for his goals led him to end the separation of races. Optimistic was also a characteristic used to describe the great doctor. Optimism and prayer is what helped him persevere through the chaos of his journey. Understanding his own weaknesses also helped him reach his goals of creating equality for the African Americans.
