Many people know about the speeches of Martin Luther King Jr, but many people don’t know how he was an admirable person. Martin Luther King Jr was born in January 15, 1925 and his parents are Alberta King and Martin Luther King Sr. He became a pastor for the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta to carry on family tradition because his grandfather became a pastor there also. He got a B.A degree in 1948, and his doctorate degree in 1955. He got married to an intelligent women named Coretta and had two sons and two daughters. He was assassinated by James Earl Ray in April 4, 1968 when he was standing on his balcony in Memphis, Tennessee (January). Martin Luther King Jr is an admirable person because he is a great leader, respectful to others, and he is a hard worker.
Martin Luther King Jr was one of the best leaders that helped the civil rights movement. He lead more than 250,000 people to Washington D.C and gave a speech on Abraham Lincoln’s memorial that was his famous speech “I have a dream.” He had to make all his speeches and say the speech to over 100,000 people almost everyday (Ross). He was on Lincoln’s memorial because he wanted to remind people who gave them the rights to be free and set them free from slavery. He fought for equal rights so that everyone can be equal and so that everything wasn’t segregated like buses, water fountains, restrooms, and more. He was the youngest person at that time to receive the Nobel Peace prize and he gave away the prize money to the furtherance of the civil rights movement.
