“Hi, I’m a Mac.” “Hi, I’m a PC.” Everyone has seen the commercials that Apple has put together to promote their product and to do a little bashing of their major competitor, virtually any PC brand. Apple does have its strong points that make them a very successful company, but PC has thrived throughout the years to stay in the business and not fall to Apple’s quality and innovation. In April of 1976 Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne founded Apple. In 36 years Apple has grown to be the most profitable company in the world, with unmatched quality and technology that is constantly one step ahead of every competitor it has. When you think of Apple usually the first thing that comes to mind is the Iphone, or the IMac, which Apple has worked at to make the best set of electronics that you can buy. They are worldwide known for their outstanding quality of both user interface systems and the overall build quality. When holding a Mac or Iphone, you can feel the sturdiness, and weight inside the machine that lets you know that every part put inside is of the best quality that you can put in there. Of course with such ferocious quality that Apple puts out, comes a heavy price tag with it. Mac is constantly at the lead when it comes to anything to do with audio and graphic design. Major companies that are in the video game industry only use make for that reason. In a general consumer market a make can easily cost twice as much as the next competitor. Often time’s companies that are in the same business will pride themselves in making equal to quality that Apple produces while keeping the cost at a modest level for the consumers. Now “PC” is a very general term for what type of computer that you can purchase. A PC or personal computer has many different brand names that build their systems while using the same user interfaces that Microsoft has put out. There are thousands of companies that manufacture PCs all ranging in price for the budget saving

One of Apple's first products, the Macintosh computer, which was welcomed into the educational sector quite quickly after its release in 1984, paved the way to progressive variation and greater innovation among the company's products. However, these variations and innovations were not always met with immediate approval. Their introduction of the Macintosh Portable, as well as a variety of other electronic equipment including digital cameras, speakers, and television appliances, failed to garner much appeal in the consumer market. This caused Apple to re-examine their position in the marketplace they held. At one time, Apple even allied itself with such companies as IBM, Motorola, and Microsoft in hopes of increasing sales. This, however, did not aid the company in ways they had thought it would. Thus, they decided that the reinvention of their original product was the best direction to take. In an attempt to revive their declining reputation, Apple successfully managed to transform the Macintosh into the iMac. Riding on the success of the iMac, this allowed the company to cast a wider net to include more products and services such as the Apple Store, iPod, iTunes, MacBook, iPhone, and now the iPad.…
