Marjane Satrapi's The Complete Persepolis
For a background vision of “The Complete Persepolis” our main character, Marjane Satrapi lives in the country of Iran. Now, Marjane is almost traveling to different places throughout her life. Marjane started with being born and living in Iran; and also living through the war. This way the setting was placed out is very interesting to the reader themselves. It shows the reader how some lives can start off hard and rough; and it’s not some ditzy musical where you sing and everyone is all of a sudden a ton of happy. Matjane was forced to travel to Germany because her parents were afraid of her being arrested because Marjane refused to be someone who she wasn’t.
