Mariska Haitay: I Want To Become An Advocate
Anybody can become an advocate. An advocate is a person who protects her/his rights or change the unfair or abusive treatment, and try to equal their fair treatment. An Advocate needs to closely listen and take information. You have to know your own weaknesses and strongest. You have to become confidence inside with the positive feeling that may become an approach towards the children and their case. Advocates has to find the empathy in themselves. With that trait you may gain more information from your client which the trait communication will come in handy. You have to have patience like all the famous advocates because you have to be prepared to know your setbacks and know your energy. You have to know all your the knowledge like the famous

My path to picking my major was very hard because it was stirring me in so many directions. My first direction was forensic science and then my second direction was being a runner back. I had so many ideas and thoughts that I really didn’t know how to use it, until I wanted to advocate and become something. My future career job is being a social worker in a department for the SVU unit. I always want to be Mariska Hargitay because she has the meaning of being an advocate for something she has her heart in it. I plan on being a case advocate because I plan to advocate for abused or misused children in bad environments. I want to be a social worker for that type of group or teens also. Before being introduced to the individuals listed above,, I really didn’t know any child advocates that stand for something that is right . I been living under a rock because Erin Merryn is a recent advocate that trying to promote her law for the safety of the children. They changed my views on the term of child advocates and what does advocacy means in general. When I read all of the individual’s stories, I was really inspired to do something right and make a change for the lives of others.
