This Roman copy of a Greek work depicted an elder woman that is less popular to be portrayed compared to depictions of youths. This is most likely because artists wanted to capture an eternal youthfulness of portraits. This woman wore a thin, elegant looking type of dress, thin sandals, and her crown. Her dress was painstakingly portrayed through creases and drapes along her whole body. Particularly, the creases at the center of the dress shows a bow-like design leading to ruffles going on the side of her body. The ruffles toward the end of the dress are overlapping on top of each other, casting more shadows. These creases deliberately cast shadows that gives the sculpture a more dimensional showcase. This dress was intentionally slipped off of her shoulders, showing her sagging breast. This is another detail that the artist include to tell the audience that she is aging. Her crown of Dionysiac ivy leaves and basket of items gave the audience an idea that perhaps she was on the way to give an offering to Dionysiac, God of wine. This would explain where the sculpture was heading and why she was holding onto a basket of fruits and chickens. The physical appearances of this woman perhaps lead to a hypothesis that this woman is not a working class citizen.
