Mansa Musa Research Paper
Was Mansa Musa's holy journey to Mecca just for his religion or for another purpose? Mansa Musa is a man who followed the islam religion, meaning he also followed the five pillars of his religion. Mansa Musa most likely did his holy journey and tossed out gold for his religion. This follows his religion because he had done alms and completed his pilgrimage.

The reason for tossing gold to the people in the streets is for zakat. Zakat is the pillar of giving money to the poor and sick. And his pilgrimage was for hajj. Hajj is the pillar of going to Mecca once in a lifetime.
