A restaurant is an establishment that serves prepared food and beverages ontables set for individuals, pairs or larger groups, to be consumed primarily on thepremises. Restaurants serve a wide variety of food at a specified cost given on its menucard for on or off the premises consumption. These includes eating establishments where customers are served at walk up or drive away ordering counters for either on or off premises consumption. A fast-food restaurant is a restaurant characterized both byfood which is supplied quickly after ordering, and by minimal service. The food in theserestaurants is often cooked in bulk in advance and kept warm, or reheated to order. Manyfast-food restaurants are part of restaurant chains or franchise operations, andstandardized foodstuffs are shipped to each restaurant from central locations. The purpose of this study is to know the success of the Mang Inasal and relate it with our topic, The 8 Steps of Job Plan.
Background of the Firm:
Edgar "Injap" Sia II is the man behind Mang Inasal, one of the fastest growing food companies in the Philippines, which has become a modern icon of the Ilonggo culinary culture. Today it has emerged as the country’ssixth largest fast food chain and its growth seems to be unstoppable. Mang Inasal was Sia’s first venture into the food industry and the challenges he encountered were daunting. When he started, the concept of a fast food restaurant serving traditional Filipino dishes was a novelty and Sia knew he was against the top players in the Philippine fast food industry. The restaurant was instantly successful that it spread throughout most of Visayas, to Mindanao and then Metro Manila. It applied for franchise a couple of years later. By 2009, Mang Inasal opened one hundred stores. In October of 2010, 70% of Mang Inasal was acquired by Jollibee Foods Corporation for P 3 billion ( $ 68.8 million).Currently there are 445 branches nationwide and with over 10,000 employees system wide.

A restaurant should always be accessible for most of the time. Especially for teenagers who tends to be served their meal fast. It is also important that it is always clean and very attracting for customers. Aside from the atmosphere the area should provide enough space to people with large numbers.
Every restaurant should have a great service. A fast, organized and friendly crew is important. As a customer, not only the food is being considered but also the interaction on how the service crew will entertain the customers.

It is well known that Mang Inasal is popular for its term “sulit” for people who wants to fill their stomach with affordable meals. The Mang Inasal is one of the largest food seller here in Cavite City which has direct competitors such as the Mcdonalds and Jollibee. I have observed that often times, people comes along at lunch because of the services they provide and the unlimited rice which is very satisfying for customers who wants a heavy meal. The Mang Inasal doesn’t serve breakfast because it opens at 10:00am. They offer foods from lunch to dinner and some desserts.
