1. Executive Summary

PT. Era Gemilang Gizi (EGG) was encountering difficulties on storing their product’s stocks within the warehouse, excessive use of human resource and delivering products in time for customers was also the major issue. Business process and valuable resources need to be review before the implementation of the strategy. Major change drivers are low productivity and efficiency, staff, technology and competitors.

The change perspectives used by the management are contingency, resources and system. PT. Era Gemilang Gizi (EGG) uses resource-based model to develop a change in process. SWOT analysis as the approach strategy tools is utilized to keep a close eye on the competitors, this is done after the changes of process are applied.

The company also can utilize the Ansoff product or Market Matrix Model to analyze the market or focus on the product development to increase sales. Any changes or progress must be closely monitored in order to maintain the competitive edge.

2. Introduction

This work-integrated-project was put together to provide solutions for the possible issues that may emerge for a change intervention of PT. Era Gemilang Gizi (EGG). The change intervention discussed is in the process. Several internal and external drivers are highlighted in this project.

This project will also include the strategies and the strategy development tools that were used for the changes. Nearing the end of the project, both alternatives and recommendation were provided for PT. Era Gemilang Gizi to further improve their business process.

3. Company Background

PT. Era Gemilang Gizi (EGG) founded in 1996 by Mr. Chandrawan and started as a company in the agriculture business, owning vast amount of cotton plantation, mostly located in the island of Java and South Sumatra, after a decade of supplying high-quality cotton to different local apparel manufacturer. In 2005, PT. EGG decided to enter into manufacturing business by taking over two mid-sized factory producing male and children clothes, even though of the venture into manufacturing, PT. EGG keeps supplying cotton to local manufacturers.

Currently PT. Era Gemilang Gizi focuses on Indonesian apparel market but also has the good reputation for exporting to Malaysia, Vietnam and Thailand. PT. EGG main focus is towards Indonesian market as Indonesia has big geographical and still lots of local market unexplored.

4.1 Key Issues
