Celeste Michelle Condit & John Louis Lucaites argues that, Malcolm X the most thorough and relentless revolutionary dissident of the 1960s, who loudly implored his Black brothers and sisters to use “all means necessary” to bring about social and political justice and equality for Black America. His nonviolent activism achieved more genuine progress towards racial equality in American history. In his famous “I Have a Dream” speech, King declared that America would be a land of freedom where all men are created equal. Malcolm X, who was also one of the most historically known Human Rights’ activist and advocate for the rights of African-American, had a different approach and perspective. Malcolm X was willing to use “by any means necessary”, violent or nonviolent, to achieve civil right and equality. They both share the same goal but using violence to bring social change will only make the tension between the two parties…

Malcolm X was Born May 19, 1925 in Omaha, Nebraska, a time when black men and women were supposed to smilingly and quietly accept their role as second-class citizens. I was a time when black people, who were politely called Negroes in those days, were expected to sit at the back of the bus. They were not allowed to use “whites-only” drinking fountains, restaurants, or rest rooms in South. Worst of all, black people in America were not supposed to have any ambition. They had no choice but to work for little money the alternative was to starve.…

If there is one thing we know about mankind, it is that there is no force more powerful than that of human will. Regardless of age, sex, or race; mankind defines its true character through the adversity it faces on all accounts of a lifetime. Very little can be said about what mankind cannot do, because no man on earth truly has the authority to do so. Sadly enough, those types of people always have and continue to exist. Malcolm X, initially born under the last name Malcolm Little in 1925. Later on life he adopted X, which became a symbol to represent his lost past, particularly the rejection of his “slave” name. Malcolm X was an activist and an outspoken public voice for the Black Muslim Faith who challenged the civil Rights movement and the non-violent pursuit of integration that was led by Martin Luther King Jr. Malcolm X was an activist who believed that non-violent acts would achieve nothing in receiving racial equality, he believed that people had to take action. He once said “it is criminal to teach a man not to defend himself when he is the constant victim of racial attacks.” Malcolm X was so significant to the rise of radical African American activism because he is one of the two most important and influential black leaders during the late 20th century. Malcolm X rearticulated and gave African Americans clarity as to who they are, what their problems were and how to solve them. He did this by speaking about the black radical tradition which consisted of ideology, class and culture. And he made many African…
His name sounds like it can be a superhero’s name, but he, Malcolm X, being a rights-activist and public speaker, once said, “I believe in human beings, and that all human beings should be respected as such, regardless of their color.” (Quotes by X 1). X, a role model to the black community and founder of the Muslim Mosque Inc., was a powerful black leader who fought for human rights and equality. X became one of the most known people, somewhat of an alternative to Martin Luther King Jr., to speak up against the law. Many, not just X and King, did believe in equality amongst all, yet they only preached and complained without actually doing anything to make a change. A leader does not have to be someone in a higher class or someone who has money. A leader should be passionate and should not give up no matter what people throw at them for standing up for themselves. Although leaders may have troubles, true leaders should be able to try their best and do whatever it takes for the greater good.…
