Malcolm x was not successful because he made people having a lot of violence and hate. He caused his outlook to create separation instead of coming together. His purpose of the speech was to convince the black people of America that they needed to start standing up for themselves and fight the American government. He wanted to inform the American government that black was coming for them. A ballot is like a bullet in the sense of them both only being used once for a specific target.
