This is an uncommon STD, that is caused by Chlamydia Trachomatis.The STD is in certain areas of Africa, Southeast Asia, India, the Caribbean, and South America. It is rare in industrialized countries, but in the last 10 years has been increasingly recognized in North America, Europe, and the United Kingdom as causing outbreaks of proctitis among men who have sex with men. This STD is Lymphogranuloma Venereum, and all of these facts are true about it. Symptoms include Swollen lymph glands on one or both sides of the groin, painful urination or passing of stools, constipation, rectal bleeding, pain in lower abdomen or back, fever, chills, joint pain, decreased appetite and tiredness. If left untreated LGV can Spread to sex partners, cause severe scarring and deformed genitals, cause scarring of rectum causing narrowing,In women, create an opening between the vagina and anus, and cause brain inflammation (very rare). There are some ways you can prevent getting LGV.
