People live in a world where, nowadays, anyone will be judged for any little thing they do. It may be the way people look, act, smell, walk, talk, dress, and even by liking the same sex as them. Nothing in the world will ever please society. People are supposed to be free to love anyone they want. Yet, society makes it so hard for anyone to try, and be with the same sex. Either it will turn out to be their closest friends, or family who will end up judging them. At the end of the day, people can only be true to themselves. No one can take their dignity away. In Fact, many certain groups of people are scorned by society. Homosexuals are one of the main groups. No matter what they say, or do, they will always be judged for being different. It can be because of people being so religious or the laws in Arizona.

For example, if someone goes and asks anyone why they do not support homosexuals, most likely, the first and main thing they will say is, "God did not make us like that; he made us to only be with the opposite sex." That is the strongest argument they have against homosexuals. For instance, they believe and live their opinions off this verse from the Bible, "Thou shalt not lie with mankind as with womankind, it is abomination" (Leviticus 18:22). This verse from the Bible, is one of the strongest verses there is. Thoughts and opinions are made off of this verse. Any family member that is religious, will automatically judge. Also, they will argue that loving the same sex is wrong, and they shall be punished by God. No matter what religious beliefs are one of the most strongest arguments. It is truly sad that many religious people will not give it a second thought. Just because in the Bible it says it is wrong, it does not mean God will not love his people. They are basing their feelings on what the Bible says. Rather, than what they feel is really wrong or right.

Another strong reason why homosexuals are scorned by society is because of the laws in Arizona. If the laws were different here then opinions on the situation would possibly be different. For example, if they allowed gay marriage then many people would come to accept it, but sadly this is not the case here. In 2008, Arizona voted to not pass the Arizona Proposition 107. The Arizona Proposition 107 is law that would ban same-sex marriage and all legal federal rights would be taken away. Although, the people in Arizona voted to not approve the Arizona Proposition 107, gay marriage is still not legally allowed. Since gay marriage is not allowed, many people seem to think it is wrong for the same sex to be together. Everyone respects the law and obey the rules in Arizona. Therefore, if it changed, many people would rethink their opinions about same-sex marriage.

People are all human beings and should all be treated equally. In fact, everyone is equal and no one should be treated differently. While this may be true, several of these people do not feel that way towards homosexuals. They right off the back treat them different. When someone finds out a guy is gay, they start acting disgusted with them and starts to avoid them. For instance, if a guy is gay then all the other boys will try not to be around them in the locker room or showers. They act as if they had a disease or if it is contagious. When someone finds out a girl is gay, they automatically think she is just acting gay for all the attention. As well as, other girls or boys thinking she is desperate. Many people see both of these situation every day in life. When they go to church or have any connection to God, they are automatically sinners. Whenever they let people know about them being gay they are already looked at differently. Many people are so cruel to homosexuals and it is time for a change. Although, people are gay we are all the same.

Even though, people might say the only solution that will make society stop being scorned to homosexuals, is for them to change who they are. No one can change how they are. A solution that can help change the perspective on gay, is for the law to change and let anyone marry whoever they want. Let them be together, be happy, and live their lives. Another solution that can probably help, is to have more gay parades, but in Arizona. It shows everyone who is against it, that there are many people who do support them. In fact, it shows how strongly everyone feels about gays being able to be free to love whoever they want. Most important, the main solution is for people to stop being prejudice against the situation, and just be open-minded. Everyone is allowed to think on their own, and not on what people say or what it says in the Bible. We all have freedom of speech, so why stay quiet on a huge conflict that is still being fought for.

No one should tell anyone who they should be with. People are born the way they are supposed to be. So, if that means people end up liking the same sex then, we should not judge who they are. If they are happy with being with the same sex then let them be happy. Love is patient, love is kind. The way most people look at it is if them being together is not hurting anyone, why should people be so against it? Many people, support same-sex. They are doing nothing wrong. People in Arizona should stop worrying about same-sex being together, they should start to worry about all the crimes happening in the world. In brief, lots of groups, no matter what they say, or do, will always be judged for being different. Eventually, everyone should get to the point where they accept gays. Until then, everyone will still keep fighting for their rights.
