Loud Chewers Research Paper
Loud Chewers
Have you ever been at a restaurant or at someone's house and heard the awful sound of someone chomping away on their food or slurping down a drink? I hate it! I hear it all over, even in class while people are chewing away on their gum. Their mouths smack open and closed, over and over. Soon it drowns out all other sounds and their chomping is the only noise I can hear. So, annoying. Now, I know I have done this, but if you're around other people, can't you be cautious not to chew with your mouth open or slurp down your drink? How difficult would it be to just close your mouth? Honestly, all you have to do is keep your mouth closed while eating. Do people always have to make these horrible noises that are all so annoying?

One piece of advice I would say is don’t chew gum. It probably seems really stupid but do it it will save you because teachers might write you up. You probably should avoid groups of people in the hall’s because if you get in there way and they get mad you probably will end in a fight and that is probably what you shouldn’t do. Seventh grade might seem really hard but with eighth grade the test get harder, and the teachers aren’t lenient. Also in eighth grade the teacher mold you to make you ready for high school. Another thing that teachers hate is when people stand in groups of hall’s, when you're in a group in the hall it slows everyone and makes them late. Another piece of advice is make sure you're always on time to your classes. I say…

Another aspect of becoming a speech pathologist would be to consider the nature of work. The nature of work includes daily duties and responsibilities. For instance, one major duty a speech pathologist has to do is being able to diagnose disorders and educate students, staff and parents. This duty can help the individual(s) become more aware of the situation. Some patients may have had a stroke or has autism and the speech pathologist has to educate their family or them about how they are going to improve his/her speech. Another duty comes into play at that point. Speech pathologists must write Individualized Education Plans (IEP), write Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP), and provide direct services to whomever, and attending IEP/IFSP…

Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) working in the medical setting are typically members of rehabilitation teams, who work with individuals who have suffered from an illness, disease, or injury that may result in neurological deficits affecting speech, language, and/or cognition. Specifically, when working with the adult population, SLPs frequently assess and treat individuals diagnosed with a motor speech disorder called dysarthria. There are many types of dysarthria that can be characterized by deficits in strength, speed, range of movement, steadiness, tone, and overall accuracy (Duffy, 2013). Therefore, it is important that SLPs have an understanding of the neurological system, prominent characteristics, and know a variety of therapy…

Hate radio is mainly about how corrupt the radio is and the effects it has on listeners. Many of these radio shows are criticizing, looking down on, and even making fun of minority races, minority religions, and even females in general. This gives the public reason to hate these minorities. It angers me that such a large number of people in our country can be influenced by radio. I think it should even be outlawed if they are making discriminatory comments about other races. I understand the first amendment and that there’s supposed to be freedom of speech in our country. I agree that the people speaking on the radio should be allowed to say what they are saying, but not to the entire public. When someone can…

Animal sexual abuse, like rape, is the eroticization of violence, control and exploitation.”[1] There are a few articles that I will use to assist my paper. Chewing loudly or showing your food to your peers as you are eating is disrespectful. Additionally, doing so in front of strangers probably evokes impoliteness. At a young age, one is taught by their parents or parental figure to eat at the dinner table with their mouths closed. I think that the younger the person, the easier it is to get away with it, but once you reach a certain age, you are required to know not to chew loudly. Chewing correctly might show that one is disciplined and educated versus someone who doesn’t. Although I smacked my food around people I knew, it felt just as embarrassing as doing it in front of someone who I didn’t know.…
