Lots of Advantages of Living in a Big City
There are lots of advantages of living in a big city. Since I had been living in big cities for a long time, I was deeply impressed by the convenience of living in big cities. When I was in China, I lived in Shanghai. Shanghai is a large city, and it is the biggest financial center in China. There are high-rise buildings and shopping malls everywhere. However, at that time, I felt nothing special, but very normal. When I came here, I realized that there were three advantages of living in a big city: strong public transportation, nice food, and convenience of shopping.
The first advantage of living in a big city is strong public transportation. When I was in Shanghai, I could take the subway and bus to anywhere I wanted, for example, school, shopping malls, hospitals, theme parks, and so on. As far as I’m concerned, subway and bus routes are just like net that covers anywhere, and it is really fast. Also, I saved lots of money by taking the public transportation when I lived in Shanghai.
The second advantage of living in a big city is the high-quality food. In Shanghai, I was able to taste the delicious food from all over the world, like Japanese food, German food, Turkish food, and so on. Actually, I prefer Chinese food, and my favorite foods are Peking duck and hot pot, which I usually ate twice a week before leaving China. Whenever I have dinner with my friends in Chinatown, it brings me back to the good memory.
Living in a big city, I can take the convenient public transportation, enjoy the tasty food, most importantly, I am able to lead a high-quality life. To be honest, I really love shopping, and bid shopping malls are very common in Shanghai, like Xu Jia Hui and Nanjing Road, which are the biggest places for shopping. When I was shopping in Shanghai, I felt like I was shopping in Tokyo. As we all know, Tokyo is the heaven of shopping. One of my Japanese friends told me that Shanghai was just like Japan. People could buy anything they want I really

It is a well-known fact that the world is becoming increasingly urbanized. In almost every country in the world the trend has been for more and more people to move from small towns to larger cities. Although there are certain aspects of living in small town that I would appreciate such as clean air and less noise, however the urbanizing trend pretty much reflects my own preference for living in a big city rather than in a small town, because in my opinion the place one lives in plays more important role in one’s life in terms of wider range of opportunities. I think the education and career opportunities are the most prominent among them.…
