A Weekend Getaway in Long Island
If you’re looking for a nice and relaxing weekend vacation, a quick trip to Long Island is a great way to unwind from the hustle and bustle of the city life. If you love to travel but you don’t have the luxury of time, Long island can be easily accessed if you’re coming from New York City.
How to Get There
There are different ways get to Long Island from New York City. You can take the Long Island Rail Road train, a bus or drive via any of major roads including the Long Island Expressway, Northern or Southern State Parkway. You can also hire a car service to take you there.

I enjoy spending out time in a condo unit because it has all the amenities and comfort of our home.
Since the condo is located by the beach, we absolutely enjoy walking barefoot in the sand and playing with our dog while getting a bit of tan.
Things to Do with Your Kids
Jones Beach State Park
If you enjoy outdoor activities, there are a lot of things you can do in Long Island. We often go to the Jones Beach State Park because it has a beautiful stretch of sand facing the Atlantic Ocean. A lot of families visit this park.
You can swim in the sea, enjoy the scenery in the boardwalk, grab a bite at the concession area, go sunbathing, ride a bicycle, and do a lot more. Whenever we visit this park, we always end up spending an entire day here.
Le Play Café
If you’re a bit tired of an entire day’s worth of activities, a trip to the Le Play Café may be just what you need. You can sit down, sip a cup of coffee and relax a bit while your husband checks his email and your little one continues having fun.
