Hmm...loneilness is a type of sadness, so it is probably a mix of both boredom and loneilness for some people out there.
But I think for a lot of people they don't feel loneilness. They have friends they spend time with, but then they spend one day on a weekend alone and out of boredom they look at porn and masturbate.
So boredom for sure, but loneilness can just add the problem. But most people don't realize the best way to bet boredom isn't to do things alone (watching YouTube, playing video games, eating junk food, etc.), but to do something with peope you enjoy, to get out of the house.

    “The two enemies of human happiness are pain and boredom” a quote by Arthur Schopenhauer. How many times a day does someone say, “I’m so bored”? Too many times it appears.
