Loneliness In John Steinbeck's Of Mice And Men

The characters in the book Of Mice and Men Crooks and Candy they are all alone in their own life. They all run from isolation in tell they have nothing. The reason why Crooks is isolated is because of his own skin color. Crooks is the only black man on the ranch, and because he's black he can’t go into the house with the others, because of his skin color and he doesn’t talk with the white men. He handles his loneliness with hard work and books, he starts to realizes that the things he does to handle his loneliness are not suitable for a humans friendship. Candy's dog prevents Candy from being lonely in the world with its love but after the dog died. Candy was alone so he makes himself a part of George and Lennie's big dream. Steinbeck
