London Research Paper
The air is crisp, and clean. All around you are fields of the most vibrant green, rolling hills and the most beautiful countryside you could imagine. You feel peace, and serenity here. You travel twenty minutes down a small, winding road and arrive in the most beautiful city on Earth. As you cross the London Bridge, you see the Eye of London, the worlds largest Ferris wheel, and Big Ben at the Tower of London. The architecture is amazing, and even the trees have a different kind of beauty. There is no doubt that the beauty and liveliness of this city makes it a perfect place to live.
If I could pick one place to live for the rest of my life and be totally content, I would pick the countryside just outside of London. I have never visited a more peaceful place. The scenery is beautiful and although it rains quite often, even the rain has a different type of beauty. While visiting London, I stayed in a small house with an older man and woman. The buildings stand tall with an almost hand sculpted look. The churches are absolutely astonishing. The steeples are tall, and look as if they took years to construct and perfect. All around the city are sculptures of famous people, and things. The Tower of London dominates the skyline, along with the London Eye. The most beautiful view of the city is at the very top of the London Eye. From the top, you can look out over Thames River, and to the Tower. You can see Buckingham Palace and many, many more famous buildings and landscapes that are very pleasing to the

In 2004 a group of scientists found the partial skeleton of a new human species we had never seen before. Researchers called the remains LB1, also nicknamed the hobbit due to its small size. It was first believed that this new species, Homo floresiensis, was a descendent of Homo erectus that had simply dwarfed over time due to limited access to resources. However, newer studies have highlighted some of the more primitive characteristics of LB1, which lead scientists to believe that the hobbits branched off from the human family tree much earlier than previously thought.…

The Genre: You’re familiar with the book and movie reviews that appear in newspapers, magazines, and websites. They are just one kind of evaluative writing, but from them we can identify the key components of the genre. First, there is the object to be evaluated. Often this is a single thing—a music CD, a scholarly study, a corporation—but it can also be an idea or process: the impact of a particular band on rock history, the importance of a new trend in scholarly opinion, or the management practices used by a particular sector of industry. Second, there are the criteria…

Brentwood, Tennessee is a suburb south of Nashville. Home to many upper middle-class families, Brentwood is identifiable by the seemingly endless supply of neighborhoods containing multi-story homes, manicured landscapes, and Mercedes Benzes. It is very easy to pin stereotypes of affluence to the people, places, and customs of Brentwood, but I would not have wished to grow up in any other place.…

In the early part of the twentieth century Boston Massachusetts was a growing city full of history and possibilities. A younger Boston had survived the turmoil of British rule and the American Revolution. As a tribute to its past, the former home of Revolutionary hero Paul Revere stood at the north end of the growing city not far from the Old North Church where Revere warned the Patriots of an impending British arrival. But Boston was also growing and changing with the new times, especially in the area of Boston known as the North End.…

Words have no power to impress the mind without the exquisite horror of their reality.-“Edgar Allan Poe”. What a quote from one of the greatest writers of all time. Words have no power to impress the mind without the horror of the world that we live in. people take their life for granted and everything they have for granted as well. It shouldn’t be like that. Although Edgar Allan Poe and Charles Dickens contrast interpretation, style, and characters they do compare in plot, theme, and setting. I believe that Poe is the better writer than Dickens.…
