Lockhart
Immediate opening at Hogwarts School for defence against the dark arts teacher! Or the achilles heel at Hogwarts. So many teachers come and go. Maybe they need to be more selective and preform more extensive interviews and background checks.
Let’s start with Professor Quirrell a man possessed by the dark lord himself. Quirrell seemed a little timid for the dark arts to begin with. Quirrell only lasted a year because he died thanks to Harry’s death hug.
Next Gilderoy Lockhart takes the position. Lockhart a vain book writer and terrible wizard proves a total failure. Lockhart in way over his head from the start and can’t even perform the simplest of spells. The cornish pixie incident proves this quite well. Then he manages to wipe out his own memory. Lockharts fame probably got him the job and the fact that he lies so well. Lockhart makes

In my opinion Lupin makes a pretty good teacher. Lupin tells Harry that Snape’s actually one of the good guys and the prisoner Sirius Black the escaped convict is his godfather and also a good guy. Unfortunately Lupin turns out to be a werewolf so that ends his teaching career.
Next Mad Eye Moody but not really! Barty Crouch Jr. uses a poly juice potion and fools everyone for the whole school year. Barty a death eater turns the Tri-Wizard cup into a portkey successfully bringing back the dark lord. Naturally he ends up getting taken to Azkaban.
Next Dolores Um-bridge, yikes she’s terrible. Um-bridge sent by the ministry of magic to reform Hogwarts. Um-bridge ends up as one of Voldemort’s allies, big surprise. Um-bridge basically gets run off by the staff and students. Good riddance Professor Um-bridge. Finally Severus Snape makes the cut. Snape wanted the position forever but Dumbledore thought it would bring out the worst in him because he’s a former death eater and keeps the company of dark wizards. Snape playing a double agent uses the position to help Harry but also kills

Authors take a lot of time, days, months, and even years, to research, and write pages, chapters and eventually entire stories. A fictional writer has two main goals. The first is to entertain the reader. The second, though many would disagree, is to actually inform the reader of things. Authors take a lot of time creating fictional places and people that will teach life lessons in the end. Goodkind is fairly straightforward about some of his lessons where as others are more, hidden. Goodkind introduces many of these lessons by introducing them as "Wizarding Rules". These are rules that every wizard should be aware of and try to follow, though that is not always possible.…

Fred Weasley from Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix has the characteristics of being humorous and studious. Fred displays humorism by playing pranks on people like the headmistress of Hogwarts Dolores Umbridge. Also, upon leaving Hogwarts schools of witchcraft and wizardry, he and his brother George flew on their Cleansweep Fives and launched fireworks that chased down not only the headmistress but other teachers and students. On the other hand, Fred put all jokes aside and when it came down to it became a studious person. Before going into his seventh year at Hogwarts, himself and once again his brother George bragged about how they were one of the few students that passed their apparition tests. Also, Fred could not shut up about…

Throughout the course of history there are many infamous leaders that use questionable methods to earn their title as supreme ruler in their time, such as Adolf Hitler of Germany. Hitler to many was a great leader, but the way he seized power was very similar to Lord Voldemort. These two names in history and in literature are exemplars of atrocious leadership and dictatorship. It is agreed that the quest for power many times often alters honest principles of the seeker in order to obtain the ultimate prize, power over their people, but more importantly immortality. Especially in J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series, the archetypal villain, Lord Voldemort epitomizes the power hungry individual that faces defeat, because power does not suit him, in juxtaposition to Harry Potter, the ultimate hero. Eventually in the end, the drive for power and total glory blinds Voldemort, much like it did to Hitler, causing them both to be defeated. As history has proven many times, evil can be conquered, and that the greater good has the power to overcome the evil forces that threaten society.…

At the present time, merit pay continues to be relevant in America. With school district budgets decreasing across the nation, an excess of fiscal difficulties is undoubtedly negatively having a great impact on schools across the nation (Poston, 2011). For this reason, these negative impacts are causing school administrators to be less creative in its ability to attract and retain high-quality teachers. For example, the Association of School and College Leaders (ASCL) (n.d.) share that Russell Hobby, general secretary of the National Association of Head Teachers (NAHT), expressed that head teachers’ recruitment strategies across the country are becoming increasingly difficult to recruit teachers because teachers' salaries are rapidly becoming…

J.K. Rowling’s handles the convention of internal quest and external adventure by telling us how a young boy “Harry Potter” transforms both physically and mentally into a self-confident, maturing young wizard. Situations are designed to make Harry grow from being a boy with low self-esteem and self-confidence, living under his Aunt and Uncles staircase and being treated horribly, to a wizard that learns to think and take care of himself. J.K Rowling’s allows Harry to travel through a very trying physical adventure by letting him face many dangers with the help of his friends. J. K. Rowling lets Harry face and overcome many obstacles, whether he is chasing winged keys (J. K. Rowling. p203) or fighting Lord Voldemort in Professors Quirrell’s body (213). These all help Harry turn into a self-confident boy that will decide to overcome evil by standing up and facing it head on. J.K Rowling lets Harry grow from a timid boy that is afraid to speak and ask questions at the Dursley’s home to…

Harry Potter has been around in the United States of America since 1998 (in the United Kingdom since 1997). This book was in very many homes and grew up with all of us 90’s kids. With Harry the brave one, Hermione the smart one, and Ron the ginger. Ron was also good with traps and tricks because well let’s be honest if you grow up with brothers like Fred and George you’re going to be pretty good at tricks and other fun things. Albus Dumbledore was the wise old teacher. He would be like an owl if you had to think about him as an animal. In the movies the actor Richard Harris was the Dumbledore in the first and second movie but the role was passed over to Michael Gambon for the rest of the films. The role was given the Gambon after Harris died on October 18, 2002. Michael Gambon was a good Dumbledore but Richard Harris was the better Dumbledore because Harris seemed to be more kind like the Dumbledore that we grew up with, he seemed to look like a wizard even outside the movie, and it seemed like Gambon took on the role of Harris playing Dumbledore and not Dumbledore.…
