Lockers Persuasive Essay
I understand that this school has bigger issues than lockers to worry about, however I believe that the student body deserves more then a small tin box. Ninth to twelfth graders all basically live out of their assigned lockers and their bags. But we deserve more, much more. Its unfair that sixth to eighth graders get the luxury of a desk, cubby, bag, locker and the back of the classroom, while the ninth to twelfth graders only get one locker the size of a textbook and a half and their own bags.

If size is an issue, it shouldn't be. The school is under constant construction and is expanding more and more every year. I am sure with all the expanding for new classes, sports areas, play areas et cetera the school can find some space for a locker room. Another point is that the sixth to eighth graders can sacrifice their lockers, as they have lived without them

We could use it to store girly necessities and extra uniforms incase of any emergencies we have to face during the school day. Sometimes we need to store some girly needs in our lockers just incase something happens, if anything does happen we would probably need a change of clothes as well. We could also use our extra locker space to hold other necessities that we would use to freshen up after physical education class so that we don't stink up the halls and classes.

Lockers are an essential to our everyday school lives. We deserve to have them bigger! As students we want them to be able to hold more than just the amount of books given by the school, we need them to able to hold our other necessities such as our laptops, extra notebooks lunch et cetera. We can’t keep living out of small tin boxes we need more. As the year goes by we will receive more books and and the amount of space that was assigned to each individual wont be enough anymore. Each next year will most possibly give us the same dilemma and we shouldn't have to deal with

Just think, when you become an adult and you think for yourself and you are out on your own, you are going to want to know how to choose your own clothes. It would affect our high schoolers even more so than our middle schoolers, because they are the closest to going to college and eventually beginning their careers. This is my third and final reason for why Maclay School should not add uniforms to the dress code.…

Although the state at one time had money set aside for the building of the new school this has not happened. Now they are looking to save money. A better solution might be to use the newer Brady Hall. It already contains dorms, classrooms, a large kitchen area, a gymnasium, offices, even an infirmary. It is quite a large building and would easily accommodate the 130 students currently enrolled at…

The argument against backpacks is now justified because students can keep back packs with them and nobody will get hurt. Teachers can set up a designated area for backpacks to got to prevent tripping or any injuries during the school day. Students backpacks will no longer lay about and cause a potential threat to students and teachers safety. We can place them in certain areas of the classroom so that we to continuously ensure the safety of faculty and students. Also back packs pose no greater danger with weapons and or drugs then students everyday purses, gym bags, or even laptop bags. Those items can be just as dangerous as any book bag out there. A bag is a bag, so if you're allowing gym bags, purses or anything of the sort consider that the threat may still remain without backpacks. Last of all having backpacking during emergencies would speed up any the safety procedure since your backpack would be right there with you at all times during the day. If there would ever be a need to leave the school you would have all of your essentials with you so you can grab what you need and exit the building. If you have everything with you evacuating would be much faster, compared to if a student had something precious in his or her locker that they had to…

Not only did that unnecessary break happen but, “In another case, a principal and two teachers in Kansas City, Missouri, were suspended with pay after twenty-three elementary school students were strip-searched in an effort to locate five dollars in missing lunch money. A female teacher allegedly took the girls into a restroom and had them strip down to their underwear when no one admitted taking the money. A male physical education teacher executed the same procedure with male students. The money was later found in the boy's restroom but was not located as part of either search.”(Essex) This piece of evidence shows another break from the learning environment to find a couple dollars, this shows the distrust in teachers to students from the teachers searching students, but ultimately finding the money in a different place. In addition, in the case of Bellnier v. Lund, the Plaintiff Leonti said he had 4 dollars when…
