What is the nature of honor? What does “living with honor” mean? Living with honor is the act of having honesty, fairness, and integrity in all your actions and beliefs to create a better society for the good of all people.

1. Honesty is the quality or fact of being honest.

2. Examples of honesty.
Abraham Lincoln - Nicknamed “Honest Abe” because when he worked as a store clerk if he shortchanged someone he would close shop and walk (regardless of the distance) to pay back what he had shortchanged them.

3. How honesty improves the society we live in.
It builds TRUST.

What fairness is and how in generates a healthier society.

Explanations/Rationale & Examples
1. Fairness is the ability to make judgments free from dishonesty.

2. Examples of fairness.
Atticus Finch (To Kill a Mockingbird)- Atticus is fair when he is defending Tom Robinson in court.

3. How fairness improves the society we live in.
Fairness lets people be able to do what they are capable of doing. Ex. Working to earn a job position.

Subpoint III
What integrity is and how it creates a better society for us to live in.

Explanations/Rationale & Examples
1. Integrity is adherence to moral and ethical principles.

2. Examples of Integrity
Tim Tebow not backing down from what he believes regardless of what the media think about his beliefs.
Atticus Finch defending Tom Robinson in court even though the rest of the town was against him doing so. He still did what he believed to be wright. 3. Integrity builds trust and earns respect.
