Living Life One Day at a Time
Many times we wonder why we really exist.
Many times we search high and low to find answers.
Many times we doubt who we are.
Many times we try to compare ourselves even with lifeless things.
Many times we take things hard because of the circumstances around us.
Many times we ask questions we are unable to answer.
Many times we wish we never existed because we don’t know why we really exist.
Many times we change who we are to be someone we were never to be.
Many times we had made mistakes and felt like giving up.
Many times we wished we could turn back the hands of time.
Many times we wished we had done things we never did despite the obvious opportunities we had.
Many times we blame our environment and people around us for our silly mistakes.
Many times we had found the strength in us but never made the most of it.
Many times we look within ourselves and ask WHY
… Nobody can go back and start a new beginning but anyone can start today and make a new ending… Maria Robinson.
Have we had time to discover who we are exactly?
Have we asked why we were created the way we are?
Have ever wondered why we are so different from others?
Have we asked what we lived for if not to solve the problem we(the world) face in life and to give a better meaning to it?
Have we taken time to analyse our mistakes and improve ourselves, if we made no mistake how would we learn?
Have we seized time to achieve things we wished for?
Have we taken time to improve our strength rather than focus on our weakness?
Have we searched ourselves, haven discovered our uniqueness and ask WHY NOT?
A quote goes thus: The connection between what lies behind you and what lies ahead of you is what lies within you. The reason for our existence is to discover what we are made of in order to fulfil our destiny. Another quote says: …. worry never robs tomorrow of its sorrow, it only saps today of its joy….. Leo.F.Buscalgia. We should learn to live our lives one day at a time, because

There is a very thin line between the person who you were and the person that you are right now. As humans, we experience millions of events that can affect and change our perspective on aspects throughout the course of our lives. Similar to caterpillars, we cannot be innocent and childish forever. There is a time for everybody to transform into something beautiful, and everybody’s time is different. Change can be good or bad, but most importantly, change helps us grow and become the people we were meant to be. How are we supposed to mature and enjoy our lives if we cannot accept the differences that life presents? For many people, metamorphosing is difficult because sometimes it can be a challenge to let go of something that was always a part of ourselves, such as letting go of a teddy bear, or a blanket, but for other people, it can be almost instantaneous.…

Why are we here? What is the purpose and meaning of life? These questions, or variations of, have probably crossed the mind of just about every person that ever lived at some point or other, and maybe even several times during their lives. It is important and necessary for individuals to answer these questions in their own minds, hearts, and spirits, as it promotes a sense of purpose to life. Why were we created, what is our purpose in life? Ask myself that a lot, but God created us so we can have a relationship with him. In human existence, a question commonly asked is, "Who am I?" This question is the heart of the quest for the Self. This is a quest which may take a lifetime, sometimes longer, to fulfill. One path, of self-discovery, is when people turn to their surroundings in their search. In turning to their surroundings, people are able to see their Selves by the things around them. In observing the surroundings, people may, not only, find their Selves, but establish their Selves. This path, however, is not the only way people search for the Self. Another path is when people turn to something higher than themselves for answers. This path is lined with the hope the answers can be given by the, "something higher." These two paths represent two preceding forces in people's search for the Self.…

When you ask a jailbird why his life turned out this way, he’d probably say it was because of bad choices, and that he’d give anything to undo them. When we make mistakes, we regret it, but God tells us that he put you on a path, and that everything has a purpose. We just have to embrace our destiny and choose with Him.…

Well, I managed to survive through the many years to get to this day. On this day September 1, 2060 I am about to head to the golf course to spend my day with my former co-workers. As I am 73 years old, I have been retired for about five and a half years. I enjoy living the life I do now, being retired, and just enjoying everyday day that I have left here on Earth. After college I played professional baseball for twenty-one years, sixteen for the Pittsburgh Pirates. After I threw in the towel I went on to coach minor league baseball for another thirty three years up until just within the last five years.…

One quote that I found only recently, yet is now of my favorite quotes to live by is, “The best years of your life are the ones in which you decide your problems are your own. You do not blame them on your mother, the ecology, or the president. You realize that you control your own destiny.” – Albert Ellis. To me this quote means that you are happiest once you realize that you are in control of your own future. If you have a problem, you have to…
