The author's main purpose for writing the article is to inform the reader the importance of listening: Professional and relationship benefits. The author's informing us that it is crucial to have listening skills and it can benefit our relationship and professional lives. I have found it to be true that for excellent communication skills, listening is a plus. In order to learn and understand other's one must be able to listen and relate.
The author's, tone informs given information and example of serious, objective, straightforward, sincere and instructive, earnest, formal, matter-of-fact. The author's tone also reflects his attitude and feeling toward his subject. For example, an author's tone might be described as critical or admiring, pessimistic or optimistic. I agree that listening plays a crucial role in making and having a communication, relationship, and development. Therefore, to have better communication, and professional, and relationship that has real benefits begins with being a good listener.
