My best manager was Ed Powers, I worked with Ed when I started working at Chemical Bank in 1989 which is now J P Morgan Chase Bank. On the other hand my worst manage was Jackie Ronin, who was the site manager at Skyes Enterprises.

Ed was the first manager I had that taught me everything I know about customer service and computers. Working with him in the Tax Compliance Dept which was a very busy department from november to march casue we were responsable for sending out the 1099's to all the bank customers. We were also taking calls from customers on questions on their 1099's.
Ed worked very hard to make sure all his employees had a clear understanding of what there task were and he made sure everyone would succeed in going further in the department and the bank itself. He was our motivationer telling us how good we were doing and rewarding us with lunches and after work events like diners and picnics.
Ed's quailities were he treated you with respect, he was a problem solver, he always had his door open, and always came down to your level. Ed was a great listener, if you had an idea or problem he would listen to what you have to say and bring it up to upper managment if need be.
He was down to earth and a great people person. Ed was an all around great boss. So great that I still talk to him till this day.

Jackie was the site manager at Skyes the last job I worked, This job was a call center with about 300 to 400 employees. We took phone calls from California Mediare members wanting to enroll into our plan or had questions and changes to their plan. Jackie was at times rude, impersonal, untrusting, never took responsabilty and never took the blame to any problems or issues that came up. She didn't seem to care about your feelings, she would disapline you in front of all your peers. If you had to ask her a question she would request you schedule time to talk to her and would frequintly not keep the appointment. If you had to schedule time

When Charles “Chuck” Hurley passed away the impact was felt throughout the state of Indiana, all of Jennings County and in me. Charles Hurley was so popular that the held is funeral in our high school basketball gymnasium. As we approached the funeral I can remember the stop and go driving all the way to our school parking lot. If you can try to imagine someone that is larger than life it was Charles Hurley. Honorable, loyal, genuine, there are many adjectives one could use to describe him, but to me the most fitting was virtuous. Looking back and assessing life you may be able to recall times when you say “I will never see the likes of that again.” That statement is very fitting for Mr. Hurley. The school went on to name the gymnasium after…
