Liquid Gold Studio Case Study
WEEBLY
Liquid Gold Studio http://liquidgoldstudio.weebly.com/ The business idea is a startup studio specializing on shooting mother, babies, and families documenting their breastfeeding journey. As a startup studio, services are mainly basic packages. A gallery of some sample works is also featured to give clients idea of the team’s works. The minimalist in me wants a clean and simple looking website so the possible client can focus attention to the contents and avoid being distracted by too many elements on a page.

I have chosen Weebly among the different drag-and-drop website builders since I realized I already have an existing free account in it. Moreover, I have tried Wix in the past and I did not like how slow it loads and takes

This could be a downside depending on what one is looking for and is willing to pay for. As for me, since I am aiming for free and simple site, the available designs work for me. It would be demanding of me to look for something more when I am not willing to pay and only wants to settle for free service. The solution is either to look for another website builder that suits one’s criteria or to pay for the service they want since this is still business after all. Wix has more options but it works too slowly for me compared to Weebly. Additionally, adding payment options either require an upgrade of account or creating a spate account which I cannot afford at the moment or that I did not want to proceed since I was mainly testing the site to work for me. I cannot say so much of its disadvantages since Weebly suits my needs for a simple website and that it really depends on what one is looking for. As for me, it works well and it is the easiest one to use.

Liquid Gold Studio’s website is very minimalistic incorporated with a yellow hue in the quote’s font and one of photo contents to add a pop of color. The main page brings you right away to the packages offered with rates and details. I chose to add product elements which made it easy to load contents and details. I just had to change the monetary unit from USD to PHP in the settings and it was all

For a website to be successful, it is “essential to maximize both” (Beaird 5). I think Short Money’s website ignores the aesthetics and the users. The way their website is designed seems to be as “good enough.” What I mean is, the makers of the site went for a cheap route just to be online because there are no signs of “usability gurus” or focus on the appearance as they both are lacking. There are no neat features that make the site quicker to use and even the organization of the important links and texts are out of place at best. “Overall, ‘website searching is a goal-oriented activity’, and the different elements must cooperate for the website to function correctly (Zhang et al. 78). This cannot be done without an effective design” (Ricard 5). The users came to the site with a goal in mind: to find the company’s phone number, to make a reservation, etc. Customers have a sense of immediacy that makes them feel entitled to a quick answer or acquirement of most products and services. This can only be attained if the website’s aesthetics and usability are utilized to their full…

Sassyfox.com is the website for Sassy Fox, a boutique located in downtown San Angelo, Texas. The audience demographic for the site consists of both women and teenagers, featuring the two categories “Sassy Ladies” and “Sassy Kids.” While the website is supposed to serve as a webstore for the boutique, Sassyfox.com has a lot of problems that hurt the usability of the site. For this analysis, I have broken the user experience into three categories: 1) Information Architecture; 2) Content; and 3) Design. Designing concepts author Jeff Johnson defines in his book, “Designing with the Mind in Mind” will be used in each section.…

The webpage I am evaluating is, malepregnancy.com. First thing that grabbed my attention was the name of this webpage. Malepregnancy.com is a straight forward web page name that leaves no room for guessing, its content is directly related to the page name. The website itself is easy to navigate with tabs located near the top margin of the page. The colors chosen are easy on my eyes and they didn’t go overboard. It seems a bit artsy, meaning it is a well put together canvas of visuals by whom ever did the web design. After reading a bit more, the pregnant man, Mr. Lee is an art major and probably had something to do with designing this webpage and the easy functionality of it. MalePregnancy.com 's public Oracle database is fully-integrated with RYT Hospital 's internal ambulatory care information system (which runs off an application called Epic). WebObjects is their application gateway for most of the functionalities that you see, but the pages are dynamically generated as static .HTML and .SHTML files to facilitate the indexing of these pages by search engines. A helpful glossary of medical terms are located on the main page which is very helpful for me, since I am not very familiar with the terms used on this website.…

Envy Beauty Supply and Salon has a very viable service as well as product lines for sale. Every girl wants to feel pretty and pampered and this business specifically caters to that. However, they do not have any online presence and have done very little in the way of advertising. They have mostly relied on word of mouth to advertise their business. This has worked fairly decent in the past, but Suzy feels that now is the time to start investing a little more in marketing her salon. Suzy has consulted a friend who does web marketing and has decided it is time to create a website for her store.…

The website is visually stunning. There are working videos informing about products and also informing about new information like windows 8 for instance. The website is easy to navigate to find what you want from either searching for a specific item or to view by categories from the top bar on the site. You can even narrow down your search to brand, price, processor, ect. I wouldn’t change anything about the site it is very effective and very useful for finding products easily and to get reliable information about the products.…
