Burt’s Bees Honey Lip Balm How many people use Burt’s Bees Honey Lip Balm on a daily basis? That question may never be answered. However what everyone does know is that lip balm is one effective way to prevent lips from getting chapped. It keeps lips from hardening and cracking. By simply applying the lip balm once or twice a day, lips can stay healthy and natural for three hundred sixty five days a year. Not only is lip balm a good protecting for lips, every time it is applied, the person’s lips get an instant refreshing feeling. Even though lip balm is dull looking on the outside, it is full of exotic favors and tastes on the inside. The outside cover of the lip balm is hard and sturdy. It keeps the soft, gooey inside well protected. The inside substance of the lip balm is like candle wax. It feels as if it’s going to melt right inside the protective plastic. When lip balm is applied on the lips, the substance inside almost feels like fat. However it is nowhere near as gross. Instantly after the application of the lip balm, the person’s lips will feel refreshing. The Burt’s Bees Honey Lip Balm is overtaken by the smell of honey. Even when the cap is sealed, the aroma of honey is present. Once the cap is opened, if the person inhales, a blend of all kinds of smells hits the nose. The aroma has a hint of minty and oily smell to it. The little hint of oil in the lip balm smells more like sunflower oil, due to the fact that one of the ingredients is sunflower. The cover for the Burt’s Bees is cylindrical. The top cap is slightly brown, but the main body is light ember. The amount on a little object like this is amazing. There is a cereal bar code, and a big enough print to show all the ingredients used to make this product. The cover also has a drawing of two bees; they almost look like they’re trying to get to the honey inside. It is not recommended to taste the outside of the lip balm. The plastic cover will taste like plastic. However when the cap

Our product decisions should start with clear product lines and brand image. I suggest we keep the original Burt`s bees image on the products. Our products should be segment into different product lines, face and lip care for mass customers as regular product lines, body care, baby care and makeup for high-end customers as our luxury products lines. By saying so, I mean that natural personal care is a trend. We should launch different product lines to meet different demands rather than staying in the same and simple product line. The next step is choosing the distribution channel. I suggest keep our luxury lines products stay in the drugs store or healthy store, besides, we recommend display our body and baby care products into shopping mall such as Kohl`s and Macy`s. In this way, Burt`s Bees could remain a premium image to keep the good relationship with clients in the niche market. On the other hand, we recommend put our lips and hand care products into big-box market, such as Wal-Mart. Display the Burt Bees products near the Clorox promotion shelves. In this way, those used to buy Clorox stuff, especially those housewives can easily find the personal care products, Burt`s Bess particularly. Even they do not know our products before,…

Nature product development is the surviving core of Burt's Bees, and the company was not a leader in the natural personal care market but having fast growing sales at that time. Therefore, the strategy of Burt's Bees should focus on idiosyncratic product through efficient channels and pricing. As a powerful competitor, Burt's Bees should develop products according to consumers' need rather than only emphasizing the natural product. Once identifying customers' need, it should develop the natural products, and estimate the size of market and the…

Burt’s Bee’s is committed to providing the best products for its consumers by ensuring they are 100% natural and produced in environmentally friendly conditions. I believe it is possible for the company to become the “Starbucks of personal care” without foregoing the initial values established by Roxanne Quimby. Roxanne’s original vision was making Burt’s bees a big brand, not an exclusive brand, and so moving into the mass market sector is in-keeping with this idea. Arguably, moving away from a specialty and health product, to a mass market brand is risky and results in specialty stores pulling back and reducing shelf space.…

    Burt's Bees Analysis

Burt’s Bees is an interesting case, which discusses the success story of an all natural skin care company. It is an unusual concept but the founder Roxanne Quimby saw the market for such a product and immediately started acting upon this opportunity to create the best skin care company in the world. It was interesting to notice how Roxanne and the co-founder Burt Shovitz started the concept of natural skin care products just for the extra income and then went on to make it their core product of the company. This is the best example of an unpredictable market. Another interesting factor of the company is its use of natural products, keeping in mind the environment. The company doesn’t test its products on animals (like many other companies) and the company’s packages are designed such that they can be recycled which in turn have the lowest impact on the environment. This helped them to capture a wide market swiftly as the customers today are very sensitive and prefer natural products over chemical-oriented ones. With the increasing pollution, there is more awareness among the people to use environmentally friendly packages and products as far as they can. Burt’s Bees seem to attract its customers covering both these aspects.…

Honey is so healthy for you and can also be used in so much more than just eating. There are so many different types of honey in the world, there are more than 300 unique types of honey available in the United States. The thickness, texture, color, weight and taste is all determined on the flower. Each flower has a different shape, smell and type of pollen which makes each the honey so unique. Honey is produced in every state, but some states don’t have the same flowers as others and certain types of honey are produced only in a few regions. Honey can be bought in different ways then just from a bottle. Comb honey is direct from the hive with honey filled beeswax stored naturally by the bees. Liquid honey that is extracted is the generic honey that you can find at pretty much any store. It is prepared by cutting off the wax capping’s and spinning the comb in a honey extractor. Creamed honey is also known as granulated honey, it can be made by blending the honey with some liquid and also having honey get to cold can cause it to granulate, which gives it a crunchy affect. Raw honey comb is just a pieces of the honey comb that is cut out and smothered with normal liquid honey (Brening). The most common honey made is clover, wildflower, and alfalfa, these three types of honey are also known for their great taste. In October of 2015 the average cost of honey for…
